Vinyl acetate-vinyl ester of versatic acid(VeoVa10)is an excellently modified monomer which is widely used in many fields.The VAc/VeoVa10 copolymer emulsion has many excellent properties,i.e.,good water resistance,film formation,low cost and so on.Moreover,due to its better water resistance,alkali resistance and UV resistance than other copolymer emulsions,the copolymer emulsion is widely used in many fields,i.e.,textile,printing dyeing,paint and so on.Owing to its containg of cationic,cationic VAc/VeoVa10 copolymer emulsion has great application potential in the fields of exterior wall coating,sewage treatment,building materials and so on.In this study,the VAc/VeoVa10 copolymer emulsion was prepared through semi-continuous emulsion polymerization with VAc and VeoVa10 being its main monomers,V-50 being its initiator,and different kinds of cations or cations after compounding being its emulsifier.The main objective of this study is to obtain a better performance of the VAc/VeoVa10 copolymer emulsion by means of modifying the emulsion.The specific methods are as follows:1.In order to synthesize the copolymerization emulsion of cationic VAc/ VeoVa10 containing fluorosilicon,the VAc and VeoVa10 copolymer emulsion is modified by the functional monomers HFMA and VTES and using a single cationic surfactant of CTAB as the emulsifier.2.With the mixture of the cationic copolymer emulsion which was emulsified with cationic surfactant of CTAB and nonionic surfactants OP-10 being its emulsifier,the new type of the modified VAc/ VeoVa10 copolymer emulsion containing fluorine and silicon was prepared with the functional monomers(HFMA and VTES)3.The cationic VAc/VeoVa10 copolymer emulsion contained fluorine was synthesized by the emulsifier which is mixed with new polymerizable 1-(2-(dimethylamino)ten ethyl)4-13-dodecyloxian-2-yl)but-2-enedioate(KJH-2)and APG1214,followed by adding the crosslinked functional monomer HPMA and the fluorine modified monomer HFMA.4.With the mixture of new polymerizable gemini-surfactant octadecyl amine ethoxylates diquaternary and green environment-friendly nonionic surfactant APG1214 being its emulsifiers,the cationic VAc/VeoVa10 copolymer emulsion modified by the functional monomer MBI,was successfully prepared.5.With the mixture of new gemini-surfactant doecyl amine ethoxylates quaternary and degradable environmentally friendly nonionic surfactant heterogeneous alcohol polyoxyethylene ether as its emulsifier,the cationic VAc/VeoVa10 copolymer emulsion containing fluorine and silicon,which was modified by the HFMA and VTES,was preparaed.The experimental formula,and optimized of synthesis method and reaction conditions were researched in this paper.In addition,the synthesized emulsions were characterized deeply.Futhermore,all the modified emulsions were tested in order to investigate the effect of different modified monomers on the performance of copolymer emulsion.
