In this paper,FeY zeolite was prepared quickly by hydrothermal method using sodium aluminate and kaolin,a natural silicon-aluminum minerals,as the aluminium source and silica sol as the silicon source and changing the iron sources.The prepared FeY zeolite was used as a catalyst for photo-Fenton-like degradation of phenol.The research contents of this paper are as follows:1.Coal-derived kaolin from Inner Mongolia was treated with high-temperature thermal activation(HTA)and alkali fusion activation(AFA)methods.NaY zeolite was synthesized by using activated kaolin as the aluminium source and partial solicon source with the addition of silica sol and structure-directing agent.Based on this,FeY zeolite was synthesized by by hydrothermal synthesis method with the addition of ferric nitrate as the iron source.The results showed that low temperature AFA method could reduce the enegy consumption with a higher activation effect.In addition,FeY zeolite was also synthesized by using sodium aluminate as the aluminium source and different iron sources.The results showed that the crystallinity and content of iron in framework of FeY zeolite synthesized with ferric nitrate was much higher than those synthesized with other iron sources and iron content in non-framework of FeY zeolite was lower.2.FeY zeolite was prepared rapidly by hydrothermal synthesis method with the addition of Fenton’s reagent composed of FeSO4 and H2O2,and was characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy(UV-Vis),inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer(ICP-OES),X-ray fluorescence(XRF)and N2 adsorption methods.The effect of Fenton’s reagent on the crystallization of FeY zeolite and its crystallization kinetics were studied.The results showed that ?OH produced by Fenton’s reagent not only shortened the induction period,promoted the process of crystal nucleation and growth,but also significantly reduced the apparent activation energies of nucleation and growth.3.FeY zeolite prepared with different kinds of aluminium sources and iron sources was used as the catalyst in reaction of photo-Fenton-like oxidation of phenol.Effects of initial pH value of phenol solution,initial concentration of hydrogen peroxide,iron sources and content,aluminium sources and the existence form of iron in FeY zeolite on catalytic performance were investigated.Under the best condition,96.1% COD removal rate of phenol solution was obtained after 3h.The result showed that four-coordinated Fe in framework had higher catalytic activity in this reaction.
