Carbon fiber/epoxy composite materials have many excellent properties such as light weight,high strength corrosion resistance,and good designability,and its application fields are more and more extensive.However,it can't be ignored that the poor interface properties of the carbon fiber and the resin matrix and the brittleness of the resin matrix result in poor mechanical properties of composites,which limits the application of the composite materials in the high-end field.In order to improve mechanical properties of composites,many scholars have tried a variety of modification methods.Among these methods,using nanopartical to modify composite materials has become one of the research hotspots in recent years.There are various methods for introducing nanoparticls into carbon fiber composites.In this experiment,graphene was introduced into composite materials by three introduction methods.The effects of graphene content and introduction method on the mechanical and thermal properties of the composites were studied,and the modification mechanism was analyzed.The main work is as follows:1)Graphene-carbon fiber/epoxy resin composites were prepared by uniformly dispersing graphene in epoxy resin by traditional conventional methods,and the influence of graphene content on the mechanical properties of the composites was investigated.Finally,when the graphene content is 0.2 wt%,the mechanical properties of the composite are the best,the bending strength is increased by 24.92%,and the interlaminar shear strength is increased by 13.39%.However,as the content of graphene increasing,the viscosity of the epoxy resin also increases,which is not conducive to production preparation.2)Graphene was deposited on the surface of carbon fibers to prepared graphene-carbon fiber / epoxy composites.In this experiment,according to the results of mechanical and thermal properties,the optimal content of graphene is 0.2 wt%.The interfacial shear strength is increased by 67.07%,and the interlaminar shear strength,flexural strength and impact toughness are increased by 64.60%,32.39% and 41.97%,respectively.3)Graphene was innovatively added to the epoxy resin and the surface of carbon fiber to form a new interface to prepare graphene-carbon fiber/epoxy composite.Combining the first two modification methods,the effects of three methods on the properties of graphene-carbon fiber/epoxy resin composites were investigated,and the interface modification mechanism of the three methods was analyzed.The interface shear strength of the three interfaces was improved compared with the blank sample.Among them,the newly proposed modification method improved the interface performance of the composite material by 67.94%.The deposition of graphene on the surface of carbon fiber enhances the mechanical locking cooperation at the interface.Compared with the traditional process,the process of graphene modified carbon fiber surface can be easily realized by further optimization based on the original industrial process,and at low content,it can greatly improve the mechanical properties of composite materials and is most likely to be used in industrial production.
