| Yangshao culture is one of the most significant pre-historical periods in the history of China,which could be better protected and rejuvenated by developing relating cultural and creative products.The following article aims to collect existing information on the subject matter and analyzing their advantages and disadvantages in terms of discovering new possibilities in the research of the field on the topic of‘ the three-dimensional presentation of pottery patterns in the development of cultural and creative product design’.After a general sorting of the pottery patterns discovered in Yangshao culture,a most representative illustration‘the pattern of the fish’was selected as an example on the pre-discussion of the development of the cultural and creative product design.Following by a concluded theory of the two main directions of the research,first of all,is to extrude the two-dimensional patterns into a three-dimensional object and‘rebuild’ it based on the dots,lines,and plane as applied in the plane composition.The second is to combine two-dimensional patterns with the shape of the product and display them on an object to build a three-dimensional space(in a word,a combination of two-and three-dimensional design),and present the idea with the illustration of the modern cultural and creative product design case study.The concept was inspired by the composition and shape of traditional Ynagshao pottery.This article will also discuss the significance of including digital software into the design of cultural and creative products and proposed an idea of building a base of pottery patterns in the software of ZBrush to provide further accessibility to the research.Last but not the least,the article will conclude the principle of cultural and creative product design from the perspective of three-dimensional modeling.And combined with my own creative design practices to discuss. |
