A Study On The Influence Of The Average Tenure Of The Party And Government Leaders On Regional Environmental Governance

At present,my country’s economic development has achieved remarkable achievements.However,a series of problems brought about by economic development have frequently occurred,the most important of which is environmental problems.As the environment accounts for an increasing proportion of the party and government leadership assessment indicators,local governments also pay more and more attention to the environment.However,environmental governance is a long-term process.In contrast,the term of office of party and government leaders is often just a short-term concept of time.Therefore,this paper will explore the relationship between the term of party and government leaders and environmental pollution.The purpose of this study is to fill the gap in this field between the current term of party and government leadership and environmental governance and provide a certain reference value for the environmental consideration of the future appointment and removal of party and government leaders.The thesis adopts the literature research method and empirical research method to collect a large amount of data related to the term of party and government leadership and environmental governance,including data between the economic development and environmental governance during the term of party and government leadership,the term of party and government leadership in various regions of China Data on environmental governance,data on tenure and environmental governance between different types of party and government leaders,and data between party and government leadership and environmental governance after aggravating environmental assessment indicators.The paper establishes a least squares model to study the relationship between the regional environment and the term of leadership of the party and government,and uses the historical iterative OLS estimation method.In the variable test,this paper will conduct a correlation test to exclude serious endogenous suspicions.In addition,in order to ensure the robustness of the conclusion,the VIF is used in all empirical studies to expand the test to exclude multicollinearity.In the end,the main conclusions drawn by this study are the following four points.First,as a whole,the longer the term of party and government leadership,the more serious the regional environmental pollution;second,the country is divided into east,middle,and The four regions of the west and northeast respectively studied the environmental pollution in different regions,and concluded that the environmental pollution in the central region is superior to the other three regions.It can be seen that China’s environmental governance issues cannot be generalized;Third,From the perspective of sub-party and government analysis,the severity of regional environmental pollution has a certain difference between the length of the term of leadership of the party committee and the government;The results show that after 2007,due to increased environmental protection assessment,the main leaders of the party and government have attached importance to environmental governance,but there is still some room for efforts to achieve the effectiveness of environmental governance.In general,there is a complex relationship between regional environmental pollution and the term of leadership of the party and government,which needs to be discussed by category.In short,environmental issues need to be paid more and more attention,and the implementation of local governments requires local party and government leaders to make reasonable ruling actions.Therefore,whether it is the appointment and removal of party and government leaders,and the transfer of party and government leaders,we need to consider the issue of environmental governance.At the same time,we should comprehensively consider the term and movement of party and government leaders based on the relationship between the term of office and environmental governance.
