| Objective:To develop a special cooling vest for biochemical protective clothing and evaluate its cooling effect in a simulated high temperature environment.Methods:Several methods have been used,such as literature search,market research,expert consultation,to optimize the design ideas of the cooling vest.By using commercially available electronic components,a prototype is designed.After simulating different kinds of hot and humid environments(when the relative humidity is 50%,while the environment temperature is 40℃,35℃or 30℃),we have optimized the operating parameters of the core components and upgraded the component models.The second-generation product has been developed.To evaluate the effect of the cooling vest,lots of experiments have been performed,in which volunteers are asked to wear the protective clothing in the high temperature experiment platform.The key indicators,such as body temperature,heart rate,response time,subjective feelings,etc.both in resting and exercising states,have been measured and analyzed.Results:1.We have developed a design idea for cooling vest.And a product has been developed by using semiconductor chilling plate,air-cooled radiator,water block,mini high lift pump,water cooling vest and intelligent control unit.Using an acrylic backpack design,the cooling vest includes Kned large-capacity mobile power supply,XH-C1205semiconductor refrigeration chip,AVC 6 heat pipe double-tower radiator,Dongyuan SC-C26 CPURGB electroplated copper spray micro-channel water cooling block,Dongyuan SC-P67D water-cooled circulating pump,Zhigong W1411 high-precision digital thermostat and water cooling vest.The total system is 3.5 kg weight,the cooling effect can be adjusted to fit the environmental temperature,which will last 1.5-3 hours accordingly.2.Under the simulated humid and hot environment,among the semiconductor chilling plates,the cooling effect of XH-C1206 is significantly better than XH-C1206S~2,XH-C1205,XH-C1204,XH-C1203 and XH-C1202(all P<0.05).As for the air-cooled radiators,the AVC6 pure copper heat pipe double-tower radiators were superior to the radiators in SOPLAY6 heat pipes,AVC 4 heat pipes and Chaopin red see 2 heat pipes(all P<0.05).While,for self-comparison,spraying with graphene makes the equilibrium temperature in the vest 1℃lower than without graphene,showing no significant difference(P>0.05).Among the water block,the cooling efficiency of Dongyuan SC-C26CPURGB electroplated copper spray micro-channel water block is obviously higher than that of copper micro-channel water block and aluminum coarse-channel water block(all P<0.05).Besides,changing the water pump has an effect on the cooling effect of the vest,and P67D is better than P90D and JT-160A(all P<0.05).After the optimization of several core parameters by considering the endurance time,system weight and other factors,the second-generation product has been designed,which includes Pinsheng large-capacity mobile power supply,XH-C1205 high-end semiconductor refrigeration chip,AVC pure copper 6 heat pipe double-tower radiator,Dongyuan SC-C26 CPURGB electroplated copper micro-channel water cooling block,Dongyuan SC-P67D water-cooled circulating pump,Zhigong W1411 high-precision digital thermostat,water cooling vest.The total system is fixed by carbon fiber tube in a mesh backpack,with a weight of 2.5 kg and about3-5 hours endurance.When the environment temperature is under 40℃,the inside temperature of the vest can be reduced by 12 degrees without anyone wearing it.3.Using the infrared thermal imaging,we find that the area of human body covered by the cooling vest is colder,and the temperature difference between the water inlet and outlet of the vest is 3-5 degrees,which means that the cooling vest is effective.When the environment temperature is 30℃or 35℃,volunteers in a cooling vest under resting state find their body temperature,micro-climate temperature inside the protective clothing,reaction time,and subjective heat sensation is superior to not in a cooling vest(all P<0.05).Under 30℃,volunteers in a cooling vest under exercising state,their body temperature,heart rate,reaction time,and subjective heat sensation are superior to that not in a cooling vest(all P<0.05).Under 35℃,volunteers in cooling vest under exercising state,their cochlea temperature and subjective heat sensation are significantly lower than not in cooling vest(P<0.05),while their skin temperature,heart rate,reaction time are not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:A cooling vest for biochemical protective clothing with better cooling function has been designed.The cooling vest is compact,portable,and has good compatibility with biochemical protective clothing.It has a significant cooling effect when used under below35℃environment,significantly improving the heat sensation and comfort of the wearer of the protective clothing,and also improving the response time.It also has certain practicality and potential transforming and developing value. |
