Study On The Art Form And Design Application Of Paper Cutting In Foshan,Lingnan

Paper-cut is a traditional Chinese folk art,with a long history and unique style,with high artistic value and cultural value.Because the region,culture,customs and aesthetic differences,paper-cut has its own characteristics,generally can be divided into South School paper-cut and North School paper-cut.South school paper-cut fine,soft,north school paper-cut atmosphere,simple.Foshan is located in the south of Guangdong Province,with the characteristics of the South School paper-cut fine and soft,but also formed its own characteristics.Foshan paper-cut technology is rich,including cutting,engraving,lining,chiseling,writing;a variety of solid color paper-cut,lining paper-cut,writing paper-cut,copper chisel paper-cut;widely used to create a festive atmosphere,used for the festival Ritual ceremony,for worship of gods,for packaging,and for modern life;a variety of materials,flowers,fruit,insects,fish,opera characters,folk activities and so on can be the theme of Foshan paper-cut;the shape of the pattern has a strong expression,forming their own unique artistic style and aesthetic characteristics.Through the method of field investigation,this paper visits the inheritors of Foshan paper-cut to understand the history and technical characteristics of Foshan paper-cut;draws lessons from folklore,aesthetics,design and other relevant theoretical knowledge to analyze the art form of Foshan paper-cut;through the analysis of existing paper-cut design works,extract the desirable points and combine with modern design to form a set of effective design plan;and analyze the present situation of Foshan paper-cut to clarify its advantages and disadvantages.This paper starts with the geography,history,climate and commercial environment of Foshan,and analyzes the objective conditions of paper-cut in Foshan.process characteristics and uses;then,from the design of Foshan paper-cut,analysis of its composition,modeling,color characteristics,and summed up its aesthetic rules and aesthetic pursuit.Then from the angle of art design,taking Wenchuang products as the carrier,the paper-cut of Foshan is combined with modern design to put forward some suggestions for the development of Foshan paper-cut;Finally,the present situation and inheritance mode of Foshan paper-cut are explored,and the scheme is put forward to solve the problems.
