Research On The Relationship Between The Construction Of Low Carbon Cities And The Sustainable Development

The Resource and environmental issues have caught people’s attention.Human activity on the earth’s surface could lead to drastic changes in climate.As an important bearer of the carbon emission reduction task,cities also become an important subject to realize China’s sustainable development strategy and carbon emission reduction commitment.For these reasons,the Chinese government has launched a plan to build low-carbon cities.Low-carbon pilot cities,as the vanguard of urban low-carbon construction,should be the benchmark for the construction of non-low-carbon pilot cities.The research and analysis of the sustainable development of enterprises in the low-carbon pilot cities is of great significance to the targeted promotion of the development of low-carbon pilot cities and the determination of the development direction of enterprises in the low-carbon construction background.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the impact of low-carbon city construction on the sustainable development of enterprises.This paper will study from the perspective of industrial enterprises to explore the impact of low-carbon city construction on the sustainable development of industrial enterprises.This paper collates the work of previous researchers.After that,based on the previous existing theories,I put forward my own research ideas and completed the establishment of research hypotheses.Secondly,the paper analyzes the situation of carbon emission reduction that affects the sustainable development of the company,and then studies and studies the classification based on the company’s location,pollution situation and property rights.I used the listed companies in China’s industrial sector from 2011 to 2017 as samples to study the hypotheses and calculated the construction level of low-carbon pilot cities by introducing the existing low-carbon city evaluation system.Based on theoretical analysis and empirical research methods,this paper concludes that low-carbon city construction has a positive effect on the sustainable development of enterprises and is conducive to the sustainable development of enterprises.In the case that enterprises are located in different regions,the more developed the low-carbon city construction has less impact on the sustainable development of enterprises,that is,the impact of low-carbon city construction on the sustainable development of enterprises decreases from the west to the east.Under the distinguish between the nature of property right,the results show that low carbon city construction for countries with industrial enterprise sustainable development ability can have a significant positive influence,and for the sustainable development of the private enterprise cannot achieve significant role in promoting,compared to the private enterprises,for countries with low carbon city construction enterprises to promote thesustainable development of the more obvious.Under different pollution levels,low-carbon city construction can significantly promote the sustainable development of light polluters compared with heavy polluters.Based on the above conclusions,the following suggestions are put forward respectively from the government and enterprises: The government should persist in promoting low-carbon city construction,and the implementation of low-carbon policies should be based on local conditions and enterprises;Enterprises should speed up green technology upgrading and complete green transformation,and make their own contributions to low-carbon urban construction on the premise of adapting to low-carbon urban construction.
