The Study Of Cultural Ecological Characteristics And Protection Strategy In Lingnan Water Traditional Village

As an important carrier of Lingnan culture,the traditional villages of Lingnan Water Village have rich historical and cultural values.However,for a long time,the research on the protection of traditional villages in Lingnan Water Village has mostly focused on the village’s material settlements,while ignoring the relationship between the settlements and the surrounding natural environment areas.Under the influence of industrialization and rapid urbanization,the cultural ecological space of Lingnan Water Village traditional villages and water village landscapes are facing various threats and challenges.In order to reveal the status quo of protection of traditional villages in Lingnan Water Village,this article focuses on the Pearl River Delta water village area,and conducts an empirical case study with Changjiao Village in Xingtan Town,Foshan City.The protection challenges of traditional villages,and a detailed study of the current status and spatial evolution of the cultural heritage protection of Changjiao Water Village,revealing the cultural and ecological protection of Changjiao Village under the background of rapid urbanization,and put forward targeted protection ideas and strategies.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: First,the traditional villages of Lingnan Water Village are the combination of artificial settlements and natural environment.The cultural and ecological characteristics and values of the villages are not only reflected in the artificial material space in the settlements,but also in the periphery of the core settlements.Second,different types of Lingnan water village traditional villages face different protection challenges.The suburban water village settlements,like the middle city settlements,have completely lost the ecological space and agricultural production space around the village,and It is far away from urban built-up areas like suburban settlements and is less affected by the wave of urbanization.Suburban-type water and rural settlements are facing the primary impact of urbanization,and their settlement and environmental protection and development needs are particularly urgent.Third,this article analyzes Changjia Village from the two levels of patch type level index and landscape level index through the analysis of Arc GIS and Fragstats.A more systematic study of the evolution of the spatial landscape pattern has been conducted.The results show that,at the village level,the traditional natural ecological space development of Changjiao Village is restricted and eroded,and the spatial landscape pattern of the village water village has become more fragmented.At the level of traditional settlements,The landscape dominance of traditional village houses,rivers and water systems has been declining.New village houses have become dominant,and the fragmentation of the overall settlement has shown a growing trend.Fourth,the current habit of preparing traditional village protection plans in Lingnan Water Village The focus of the protection area is on the traditional settlements with artificial construction systems as the main focus,while neglecting the protection of the natural ecological environment of the large-scale water villages in the periphery.However,the lack of detailed protection and implementation planning at the village level makes it difficult to follow up and realize related plans.It is also one of the important factors that affect the protection of water village culture and ecology and even the development of villages.Fifth,this article proposes an integrated protection strategy for the settlement environment and improves the water village settlement.Eco-environment compensation mechanism,improvement of the management mechanism for the renovation and construction of water village settlements,improvement of the ecological environment quality governance system,and improvement of the assessment and supervision of settlement culture and ecological protection.Through the proposal of targeted strategies,it can provide effective reference for the cultural and ecological protection and development of Changjiao Village,and also hope to provide reference for the protection and development of similar traditional suburban Lingnan water traditional villages.
