Research On Process Opitmization Of Material Management System In An Iron And Steel Company

A steel company is a large-scale state-owned steel enterprise.With the increasingly fierce market,the steel industry once entered the cold winter period.In order to successfully pass the difficult stage and achieve the long-term sustainable development goal,cost reduction and efficiency increase has become the focus of the company at this stage.Material management is the basic management work of large-scale enterprises.The research on the optimization of material management process has only a very important theoretical and practical significance for enterprises to reduce costs and increase efficiency and enhance market competition.Starting from the current situation and development planning of an iron and steel company,this paper points out the practical significance of material management optimization for an iron and steel company.First of all,this paper expounds the reality of the material management process in an iron and steel company,analyzes and points out the problems existing in the material management of the company,including coding problems,purchasing process problems,inventory management problems,etc.Then the theoretical framework of material management is established.Starting from the basic principles of material coding,ABC classification,XYZ classification,ABC-XYZ matrix classification and 5R principle of material management are studied.On the basis of the above theoretical research,the material management process of a steel company is optimized,including material coding,plan implementation,material warehousing,inventory management and material delivery The warehouse and other aspects have been improved and implemented,and in the implementation of the material optimization program at the same time put forward supporting measures to improve the feasibility of the program.Finally,the results of the implementation are compared and analyzed.After verification,these schemes play an important role in the material management process of a steel company.The problems existing in the material management process of the company have been effectively solved,and the initial goal of cost reduction and efficiency increase has been achieved,which is of great significance to the continuous improvement of the material management process of the company in the future.
