Reservation of bauxite in the world is rich yet China only occupies 3.3%,which is far from enough to meet the requirements,especially for demanding resources of highquality Gibbsite.Nevertheless,recent years due to the underlying strict regulations of environment protections in China,some domestic mining area were being stopped,which makes the bauxite supply and demand problem even more urgent to resolve.This paper using method of SPS case research reviews on the largest aluminum manufacturer in the world China Hongqiao Group,through analysis on how and why China Hongqiao Group had taken industry chain international strategy alliance to successfully solve the problem of key raw material of bauxite continuously and sustainable supply in the long term.This paper reveals the great importance of industry chain ISA to Chinese resource-based aluminum enterprise.This paper has conducted conclusions as follows:(1)industry chain strategy alliance can enhance enterprise for joint innovation and at the same time improve the stability of ISA in the long term(2)can help Chinese companies to respond to initiative of one belt one road to “going out “and “introduction”,increase overseas investment scale of Chinese companies and empower Chinese industrial clusters(3)it’s unique network structure can help the industry chain ISA companies co-construction of the new business ecology,coexistence and win-win.Comparing with the traditional international strategy alliance research,industry chain alliance shows a new view of structured and multi-levels ISA to solve the integration of resources,capabilities of different companies through combination of value deeply and fully,in the meantime to focus more on collaboration,trust and compatibility instead of competition or opportunism. |
