Study On The Application Of Silk Painting In Apparel Design

Silk painting is a kind of decoration technique with a long history in China,its artistic value is mainly reflected in clothing products and interior and home textile decorations.In the production of painting techniques and materials,the artistic value of decorative art with beauty and practicality is favored by the public.With the development of the economy,the continuous progress of science and technology,as well as the improvement of people’s aesthetic and consumption level,silk painting clothing products have not entered the fashion trends and are gradually withdrawing from people’s attention in the consumer market and product aesthetics.There are many factors involved,such as: most of the design composition are made of flowers,birds,figures and traditional patterns,which lack the fashionable charm and creative theme of modern decorative design art;The painting is mainly in the form of meticulous brushwork and freehand brushwork.The clothing products have a single style,lack of fashion decoration design;The categories of shape and structure are too traditional and lack artistic innovative design;The painting color purity is high,there’s a lack of color harmony and other reasons,hence the need to for the decorative silk painting to develop synchronously with the contemporary fashion art aesthetic taste.The significance and value of this research is how to explore the artistic style of hand-painted decorative art with its richness and fashion charm,so as to make the application of silk painting in apparel design and decoration more attractive in modern fashion.Taking silk painting design as the research object,this project integrates various hand-painted techniques to show the unique style of silk painting decorative art in apparel design through materials,decorative themes,painting styles,color collocation,artistic expression forms and themes.
