As a national-level intangible culture heritage,wax painting of the Miao nationality in Guizhou has a long history and certain cultural value.The craft is featured with ethnic minorities and is handed down from ancient times among people.Anshun is known as‘Home of Wax Painting where wax painting is unique in pattern and rich in cultural connotation with nationalism and attractiveness.The paper chooses wax paintings as a study carrier due to its rich culture value and art value.The subject of the paper is to make traditional wax painting craft in Anshun into a box with tools and materials required by wax painting craft.The box is attached to an instruction,which explains how to operate tools in the box to complete a wax painting product by oneself.The author did following works to finish the subject.Firstly,the author went to Anshun in Guizhou for field research.On the one hand,learned about culture of the Miao nationality and collected patterns of wax painting of the Miao nationality by reading documents,interviewing firms and inheritors.Meanwhile,researched situation and markets of products by interview.On the other hand,studied Anshun wax painting and mastered a set of the craft.Secondly,made learned wax painting into instructions matched by pictures and words via sketching.Thirdly,integrated materials and tools required by wax painting craft and made them into a material bags that occupied the minimum space and used most conveniently,which placed particular emphasis on design of package about material bags.Finally,redesigned wax painting patterns of the Miao nationality that were concluded in the research and then employed the design pattern to product package and package of material bags.Till now,creative designs of material bags about wax painting craft of overall Anshun Miao nationality are finished.Material bags of Anshun wax painting craft have three vital meanings by creative design.First of all,material bags of wax painting craft employ wax painting by a portable box to spread in the form of cultural creative products,which plays an inheritance and preservation role for wax painting culture.Next,portable material boxes break regional limitation for consumer loving the craft and reduce cost of time and money to learn about it.At last,the cultural and creative products enrich variety of Anshun tourist souvenir and stimulate consumption market of tourist souvenir.
