Tuo Putai block situated in the southwest of Ta He oilfield,which have the same oil and gas accumulation geological conditions with the main block in Ta He oilfield and are the favorable area of oil and gas migration accumulation.The formation of Tuo Putai has developed completely.However,the reservoir have buried deep,long drilling cycle?low rate of penetration and high drilling cost are the bottleneck to restrict the exploration and development of Tuo Putai block.The construction well of Tuo Putai block with average ROP of 5.70m/h and average drilling cycle of 142.33 days.In order to increase ROP and shorten drilling cycle,the high efficiency drilling technology was conducted.Based on rock drillability and actual drilling results of Tuo Putai block,the bit recommendation for Tuo Putai block was optimized;with the consideration of the Tuo Putai block drillability,working characteristics of screwdrill,Practical data and feature of non-standard drill pipe.The selected screwdrill and the Non-standard drill pipe was used in wells;Second,a feasibility study about jet flow impacter and PDC was carried out,technical parameters of jet flow impacter and PDC bit in the Ordovician system was determined by test.On the basis of careful preparation and targeted construction plan,the drilling technology has been successfully used in wells.A set of drilling technology for Tuo Putai block was formed with the optimized bit and auxiliary tool.Application results indicate that the high efficiency drilling technology can increase ROP by 16.14% and shorten drilling cycle by 7.29%.The jet flow impacter can increase ROP by 35.34-40.90% in the Ordovician system.
