Vehicle handling and stability has important effect on the active safety performance of vehicles.In the course of the development of vehicle,vehicle suspension is the most important component of automobile chassis system,the structure of suspension essentially affects its kinematics characteristics and then affect the vehicle handling stability.Therefore,the analysis,design and optimization of suspension system are the key technologies to improve the vehicle handling stability.Due to suspension system structure is complicated and the character of vehicle handling and stability is the important performance indexes,the theory and method of comprehensive analysis,evaluation and optimization design of chassis complex mechanism by computer simulation technology has broad application prospects and important academic value.This article is based on the automobile chassis research and development project.The coupling relationship between the kinematic characteristics of the front and rear suspension and the vehicle handling stability was analyzed and the key hardpoints of the front and rear suspension were optimized.Firstly,the mechanism of suspension kinematics and its important influence on vehicle handling stability were analyzed.Secondly,according to the basic structure parameters and design parameters provided by the team,the model of the target full-vehicle was established and the kinematic characteristics and the stability simulation analysis of the suspension were completed in ADAMS/Car.The analysis of the experimental data and simulation results proved the correctness of the modeling method and the accuracy of the vehicle model.Then,combined with the experimental data,the steering return performance of the target vehicle needs to be improved through the selection and decomposition of the evaluation index,.Finally,select the vehicle comprehensive evaluation index as the design objective and decompose the influence factors of handling stability into the parameters of suspension structure.Following the minimum change principle,rational design optimization project and select optimization parameter to optimize the target vehicle.In the Isight and Adams co-simulation environment,the key hardpoints of the front and rear suspension are optimized based on the handling stability and the handling and stability of target full-vehicle has been improved.After optimization,the vehicle handling and stability of the target vehicle has been improved,which proves the correctness of the analysis method,the evaluation index and the optimization method.It has a certain reference value for improving vehicle handling and stability performance.
