Objective:To investigate the role of serum complement C1q/tumor necrosis factor-associated protein5(CTRP5)in the evaluation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)severity? Methods:A total of 60 AECOPD patients were recruited from the third affiliated hospital of Soochow University,Jiangsu province,China.62 stable COPD patients and 58 healthy controls were recruited from the Westwood community of Changzhou city.Serum CTRP5 was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),and serum CRP and D-dimer in patients with AECOPD were sent to the laboratory for determination. The correlation between serum CTRP5 and CRP,D-D was analyzed. To perform lung function,6MWT,BMI,mMRC and BODE index with stable COPD patients, and analyze the correlation between serum CTRP5 and BODE index and its constituent variables.Results:1.Serum CTRP-5 levels was respectively 26.89(12.72,60.57)ng/ml,3.18(2.01,5.35)ng/ml,1.94(1.19,3.64)ng/ml in AECOPD patients, stable COPD patients and healthy groups, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The level of serum CTRP5 in patients with AECOPD D and C group were 28.75(14.21,65.13)ng/ml?13.20(5.62,22.65)ng/ml,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),the serum CTRP5 level in group A,B,C and D of stable COPD was 3.43(1.90,5.15)ng/ml?3.67(2.11,6.75)ng/ml?2.96(2.49,3.82)ng/ml?3.01(1.66,5.10)ng/ml,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.In AECOPD group, the serum CTRP5 level was 27.45(13.11,63.85)ng/ml,22.65(11.08,42.31)ng/ml in the smoking group and non-smoking group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At the COPD stable, serum CTRP5 level was 3.91(2.26,6.31)ng/ml?2.12(1.83,2.67)ng/ml in the smoking group and non-smoking group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the healthy group, the serum CTRP5 levels in smoking and non-smoking were 2.31(1.34,4.14)ng/ml,1.77(1.09,2.25 ng/ml),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The level of serum CTRP5 in patients with COPD and the healthy group were 7.28(3.50,25.51)ng/ml,2.31(1.34,4.14)ng/ml,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.There was no correlation between serum CTRP5 and CRP and D-dimer in AECOPD(P>0.05).It was found that serum CTRP5 in patients COPD stable had no correlation with FEVi%pred and 6MWD,and BMI,mMRC and BODE index(P>0.05)Conclusion:Serum CTRP5 is expected to be a new inflammatory marker in COPD,and can also be used to assess the severity of illness in COPD;In addition,COPD stable is a low level of inflammation,Therefore,it is necessary to anti-inflammatory.Smoking increased the level of the serum CTRP5 and exacerbates the inflammatory response in COPD.
