Objective: To investigate the effects of high flux dialysis on maintenance of hemodialysis(MHD)patients’ serum creatinine, serum phosphorus, serum calcium, parathyroid hormone(PTH),soluble α-Klotho protein(s KL),fibroblast growth factor(FGF-23)levels,and cardiovascular calcification. Methods: From June 2016 to June 2017,Forty-nine patients with uremia who underwent regular hemodialysis at the hemodialysis center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanhua University were enrolled, and randomly divided into 28 patients with high-flux hemodialysis group(HFD).,while 21 patients with low flux dialysis group(LFD).The basic data of the two groups, including gender, age, dialysis age, primary disease, and taking phosphorus-lowering drugs, were not statistically different(p>0.05).Before the study, there was no significant difference in the indicators of peripheral blood such as Scr,Ca2+,Pi3-,PTH,FGF-23,and s KL(p>0.05).The time of each hemodialysis and the components of the dialysate were the same in both groups, and the observation time was 6 months. At the beginning of the study and at the end of 6 months, blood samples of the patients were taken and tested for serum calcium(Ca2+),serum phosphorus(Pi3-),serum creatinine(Scr),parathyroid hormone(PTH),and fibroblast growth factor-23(FGF-23)and soluble α-Klotho protein(s KL)concentrations, using cardiac echocardiography to assess cardiovascular calcification before and at the end of treatment.Result: After treatment in patients in the HFD group, blood Scr decreased, blood Ca2+ decreased, and s KL levels decreased, but the difference was not statistically significant(p>0.05);blood Pi3-,FGF-23,and PTH levels were significantly decreased, the difference was statistically significant(p <0.05).The blood Scr levels in patients with LFD group were lower than those before treatment, and there was no significant change in serum Ca2+(p>0.05).The levels of blood Pi3-,FGF-23,and PTH were decreased, but the difference was not statistically significant(p >0.05);the s KL level was significantly lower than before treatment. The difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).There was no significant change in cardiovascular calcification in patients before and at 6 months of treatment(p>0.05).There was no statistically significant change in cardiovascular calcification between the high-pass and low-pass groups(p>0.05),but the incidence of simple aortic valve calcification was higher in heart valve calcification. Conclusion: High-flux hemodialysis can improve phosphorus metabolism disorder, effectively reduce the level of parathyroid hormone in maintenance hemodialysis patients, better remove serum FGF-23,and better protect the expression of Klotho protein in vivo, from multiple perspectives Delaying the progression of cardiovascular calcification in maintenance hemodialysis patients is more worthy of clinical promotion.
