| Objective: To explore and compare the incidence of depression in patients with end-stage renal kidney disease during peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis. Methods:Investigation of the clinical data of 382 patients in the dialysis center of Hunan Provincial People’s Hospital, including 151 cases of peritoneal dialysis,231 hemodialysis patients. All the patients’ data were analyzed, including age, sex, education level, employment status, history of smoking,Diabetes history and BMI.All patients were examined by Hamilton Depression Scale. The scores were more than 17 points in the diagnosis of depression. The incidence of depression in dialysis patients was analyzed and the difference in the incidence of depression in hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients was compared.Data were collected, count data of the number of cases of depression, etc.were expressed as percentages.Chi-square test or Fisher’s exact test was used for comparison between the two groups.Twosided test was used.P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Use SPSS17..0 data analysis system for statistical analysis.Results:(1)The proportion of depression in dialysis patients was 28.5%(109 cases/382 cases).(2)The proportion of patients with depression in the hemodialysis group and peritoneal dialysis group were 40.69%(94 cases/231 cases)and 9.93%(15 cases/151 cases)respectively. The proportion of patients with depression in the hemodialysis group was significantly higher than that of peritoneal dialysis Group, with statistical differences(P <0.05).(3)According to the results of Hamilton Depression Rating Scale, the proportion of major depression in hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis depression group was 58.5%(55 cases/94 cases)and 26.7%(4 cases/15 cases)respectively. The proportion of severe depression in the hemodialysis group was significantly higher than that in the peritoneal dialysis group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).(4)According to the results of Hamilton Depression Rating Scale, the incidence of suicide, agitation, systemic symptoms, and suspected cases in patients with hemodialysis depression was higher than that in patients with peritoneal dialysis, which was statistically significant(P<0.05).(5)In hemodialysis patients, compared with the group without depression, men in the depression group(53.2% VS 36.5%),unemployed(75.5% VS 52.6%),smoking(56.4% VS 39.4%),diabetes(44.7% VS The proportion of 30.7%)was higher, with statistical significance,P<0.05.In peritoneal dialysis patients, the proportion of young people(73.3% VS 39.0%),smoking(80.0% VS 27.9%),and diabetes(73.3% VS 9.6%)accounted for a higher proportion than the group without depression.P<0.05.Conclusion: 1.The incidence of depression in dialysis patients with endstage renal disease is high, the incidence of depression in hemodialysis group is much higher than that in peritoneal dialysis group, and the proportion of severe depression in hemodialysis depression group is much higher than that in peritoneal dialysis depression group.2.Patients with hemodialysis depression had a higher proportion of clinical manifestations of suicide, agitation, systemic symptoms, and depression than those in the PD group.3.Among hemodialysis patients, the incidence of depression was higher among men, unemployed, smokers, and diabetics;among the patients with peritoneal dialysis, depression was higher among young people, smoking, and diabetes. |
