Objective: This study is to acquaintance the death status and the exposure level of overweight and obesity of Qingdao residents,to calculated the population attributable fraction of overweight and obesity, the number of deaths attributable to overweight and obesity, life expectancy and the life expectancy without overweight and obesity. Then the death status of overweight and obesity and the burden of overweight and obesity were analyzed in Qingdao. Methods: A comparative risk assessment method was used to calculate population attributable fraction of overweight and obesity by using the population body mass index(BMI)data from Qingdao project site of China Kadoorie Biobank. In this study,BMI?24kg/m2 was defined as overweight and obese according to the classification of body weight by body mass index.Combining with the relative risk of death from overweight and obesity related diseases, the population attributable fraction of overweight and obesity was calculated.Through the whole cause of death surveillance system in Qingdao, the number mortality of overweight and obesity related diseases in different sex and age group was obtained.Combining with the population attributable fraction(PAF),the mortality and disease burden of the population attributable to overweight and obesity were calculated, and the average life expectancy of the population and the life expectancy without overweight and obesity were calculated. Results: A total of 35509 subjects were included in the study,47.18% of men and 40.97% of women were overweight and 20.40% of men and 26.41% of women were obese, and the body mass index value of a higher proportion of people was higher than the optimal average of 22.0kg/m2.In terms of age distribution, the proportion of overweight and obesity increases with age, reaching the highest in the 60~69 age group. There was no significant difference in the mean of body mass index between men and women. With the increase of educational level, the overweight and obesity level showed a downward trend. In 2016,the population aged 65 and above was1.0992 million, accounting for 13.86 percent of the total population in Qingdao.According to the cause of death monitoring report,a total of 58978 deaths(743.64/million)in the whole year, with a mortality rate of 843.62/million in men, which was higher than that in women(645.20/million).The top three causes of death in Qingdao were heart diseases(221.21/million),tumors(218.76/million)and cerebrovascular diseases(130.48/million),which accounted for 76.72 of all causes of death.Chronic non-communicable diseases accounted for a large proportion of the causes of death. The population attributable fraction of overweight and obesity rises first and then decreases with the increase of age, reaching the peak at the age of 60~65.The population attributable fraction of women was higher than that of men over 50 years old.In diseases associated with overweight and obesity, the population attribution fraction of diabetes and urinary diseases(48.53%)was higher than that of cardiovascular disease(39.72%)and cancer(35.26%).In all diseases, the population attribution scores of women were higher than those of men.In all diseases, the population attribution fraction of women were higher than those of men.The number of related diseases attributed to overweight and obesity was 6795(3772 males and 3023 females),accounting for 11.52 % of the total deaths in Qingdao,of which 11.36% were male and 11.72% were female. The proportion of men is lower than that of women.Ischemic heart disease(2275cases),Ischemic stroke(977cases)and hemorrhagic stroke(943 cases)were the most common causes of death from high body mass index, accounting for 61.74% of all deaths due to overweight and obesity. The number of deaths attributed to overweight and obesity increased with age,and men's attributable mortality rate(120.28/million)was higher than that of women(97.27/million).Overweight and obesity cost 1.39 years of life expectancy(1.36 for men and 1.41 for women).Deaths attributed to overweight and obesity dropped by 10 percent, life expectancy increased by 1.25 years, life expectancy increased by 1.11 years after a 20 percent decline, and by 50 percent, life expectancy increased by 0.68 years. After removing overweight and obesity, the years of life increase of cardiovascular disease was 1.10 years old, which was higher than that of tumor, diabetes and urinary diseases, among which ischemic heart disease had the highest years of life increase of,which was 0.66 years. Conclusion: 1.In Qingdao,67.58% of men and 67.38% of women were overweight and obese, and the exposure level of overweight and obesity was higher than that of other regions.2.There were 6795 deaths due to overweight and obesity, accounting for 11.52% of the total deaths in Qingdao.3.Cardiovascular disease is the most common cause of death due to overweight and obesity, accounting for 64.97% of the total number of deaths.4.Overweight and obesity caused a loss of life expectancy of 1.39 years, and cardiovascular disease had the highest number of years of life after overweight and obesity, which was 1.10 years old.
