Objective: Evaluate the clinical curative effect of the “nourishing liver and kidney” acupuncture treatment on Yin deficiency of liver and kidney based perimenopausal insomnia. Methods: This research adopts a randomized controlled clinical approach.A total of 72 patients with liver and kidney Yin deficiency were randomly divided into control group and treatment group, with 36 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with "nourishing liver and kidney" acupuncture treatment, while the control group was treated with routine acupuncture treatment,5 times a week, totally 4 sessions, and 4 weeks follow-up after the treatments.Through the observation and follow-up of the treatment effects of the two groups before and after acupuncture, including liver and kidney Yin deficiency type insomnia perimenopausal syndromes scale,Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI),self-evaluation of anxiety scale(SAS),and depression self rating scale(SDS),comparing the index changes and the difference between the two groups.Result: A total of 72 patients with liver and kidney Yin deficiency based perimenopausal insomnia were enrolled in this experiment,69 were completed and 3 were lost in the experiments.1.There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups before treatment, such as age, course of disease, culture,TCM syndrome,PSQI,SAS,SDS scale score,etc.(P>0.05),and two groups are comparable.2.Total effective comparison after treatment: the total effective rates for treatment group and control group are 94.12% and 77.14%,respectively.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Intra group comparison: TCM syndrome scale comparison after treatment and follow-up: The patients in each group are comparing the improvements in the total score of syndromes, disturbed sleep, upset, heart palpitations, hot flashes, night sweats, languid, dizziness, irritability, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in the improvement of lumbago(P>0.05).The total score of PSQI and the improvement of each sub-item,SAS standard score and SDS standard score were compared, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).4.Inter group comparison: TCM syndrome scale comparison after treatment and follow-up: both the treatment group and control group are comparing the six aspects of improvements in the total score of syndromes, disturbed sleep, upset, heart palpitations, hot flashes, night sweats, languid, dizziness, irritability, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in the improvement of lumbago(P>0.05).In the treatment group and the control group, there was a statistically significant difference in PSQI total score, sleep quality, sleep duration, sleep duration, and sleep efficiency(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference between sleep disorders and daytime dysfunction(P>0.05).The improvement of SAS and SDS standard scores in the treatment group and the control group was statistically significant(P< 0.05). |
