| Objective: Expression of S100 P is abnormal in various kinds of tumors and it has close connection with tumor occurrence and development.However,there is no clear report on the expression of S100 P and its relation with clinical pathologic factors of cervical cancer,as well as its influence on prognosis.In this paper,based on research of expression of S100 P in normal cervix,cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN),and cervical cancer tissues,relation of S100 P with age of cervical cancer patients,differentiated degree,clinical stages,lymphatic metastasis,and prognosis of cervical cancer are analyzed,the clinical significance of S100 P expression in cervical cancer tissues is discussed.Method: Cervical cancer patients accepted operative treatment from 2004 to 2012 in the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao Universityour were selected,and follow-up visit was given.69 cases of squamous-cell carcinoma with thorough follow-up data were selected,and their clinical data statistics was done,which includes age,tumor differentiation degree,TNM stage,lymphatic metastasis and prognosis.Operative wax stone samples of patients were searched to conduct pathological section;20 cases of normal cervix samplesand 20 cases of CINI-CINIII samples in the same stage wereclinically chosen as normal group and control group,respectively.SP one-step method was used to detect the situation of S100 P expression in normal cervix,CINI-CINIII,and cervical cancer tissues,and the relation of its expression level with age,tumor differentiated degree,clinical stage,lymphatic metastasis,and prognosis of patients was analyzed viasingle factor analysis.Result:The statistics included69 casesofcervical cancer patients at the age of 45.07±9.40 averagely,11 cases of high differentiationsquamous carcinoma,45 cases of moderately differentiatedsquamous carcinoma,13 cases of poorly differentiatedsquamous carcinoma;FIGO(2009)was adopted for clinical stage,9 cases,52 cases,and 8 cases were separately in stage IA,IB,and IIA;21 cases had lymphatic metastasis,while 48 cases didn’t;18 cases were dead and 51 cases survived.The expression rates of S100 P in normal cervix,CIN,and cervical cancer were respectively 25%(5/20),40%(8/20),and 69.6%(48/69),the expression rate in cervical cancer is obviously higher than that in the former two,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).According to single factor analysis,the difference of survival rate in clinical stages,lymphatic metastasis,and S100P expression is statistically significant(P<0.05).Multiple-factor analysis was done towards clinical stages,lymphatic metastasis and S100 P expression via Coxrisk ratio regression model,the result shows that lymphatic metastasis is the risk factor to affect independent prognosis of cervical cancer.Conclusion: Compared with that in normal cervix and CIN tissue,the expression rate of S100 P in cervical phosphorus cancer tissue is higher.As shown by single factor analysis,the difference in survival rateof S100 P expression is statistically significant(P<0.05).S100 P may become a new symbol to diagnose cervical cancer and a key indicator to evaluate prognosis. |
