| In order to develop a compound traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of abortion in small animals,threatened miscarriage model rats were tested in this study.The model of threatened miscarriage was established by mifepristone combined with misoprostol.The therapeutic effects of compound Chinese medical herbs were tested by detection of body weight changes,vaginal occult blood,pregnant outcomes of the modeled rats after treated by different dosages.And the CBC,serum biochemical indexes,PGE2,PGF2_?,PAPP-A and the histopathological changes were also detected.The results were showed as follow:1.The successful rate of model was over 80%by oral administration of mifepristone and misoprostol,the dosages were 8.3mg/kg and 100?g/kg,respectively.2.All three different dosage treated groups were showed preventing abortion effects,especially in high dose group the number of live birth were higher significantly than that of model group.The results of CBC and serum biochemistry showed that there were no significant damages to body system after treatment with different dosage of Chinese medicine.3.The values of PGE2,PGF2_?and PAPP-A were similar in high dosage group and normal pregnant rats group.After administration of Chinese medicine,the PAPP-A levels were risen again,and the levels of PGE2 and PGF2_?were declined again.These results can partly demonstrated the mechanism of miscarriage prevention effect of compound Chinese medicine.4.The histopathological results showed that the numbers of neutrophils were decreased significantly and there were no toxic cells appeared after administration of compound Chinese medicine,this may explain that it can play a miscarriage prevention effect by inhibiting inflammatory reaction.It was concluded that the compound traditional Chinese medicine used in this study having the relatively significant effect of preventing miscarriage in modeled rats. |
