| Objective: To evaluate the function of needling Houxi(SI3)and Shenmai(BL62)in improving the effect of modified long-snake moxibustion in treating chronic fatigue syndrome, and to provide a new idea for acupuncture and moxibustion in treating chronic fatigue syndrome based on tonifying Yang and invigorating Qi theory. Methods: In March 2017,at Chengdu university of traditional Chinese medicine affiliated hospital to prevent diseases and outpatient service acceptance criteria,66 patients were randomly divided into two groups,The treatment group was given acupuncturing in SI3,BL62,Livershu(BL18),Spleenshu(BL20),kidneyshu(BL23)with modified long snake moxibustion;the control group was given acupuncturing livershu(BL18),spleenshu(BL20),Shenshu(BL23)with modified long snake moxibustion. Both groups were treated at the same time for four weeks, three times a week.Observing the fatigue and quality of life before and after treatment,to discover the changes of bipolar disorder and Spleen-Kidney Yang Deficiency.Results:(1)Comparison of baseline: Before the treatment in two groups of patients in age, gender, disease duration,FSS,SAS,SDS,SF-36 and spleen-kidney yang deficiency syndrome score had no significant difference(P >0.05),which means comparable.(2)FSS score: the difference between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant(P <0.05).After treatment, the improvement of indexes between the two groups was statistically significant(P <0.05).The difference between the two groups of one-month follow-up and after treatment was not statistically significant(P >0.05),the change value between the two groups was not statistically significant(P >0.05).(3)SAS score: the difference between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant(P <0.05).After treatment, the improvement of indexes between the two groups was statistically significant(P <0.05).The difference between the one-month follow-up and after treatment of treatment group was not statistically significant(P >0.05),and the control group was statistically significant(P >0.05).(4)SDS score: the difference between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant(P <0.05).After treatment, the improvement of indexes between the two groups was statistically significant(P <0.05).The difference between the two groups of one-month follow-up and after treatment was not statistically significant(P >0.05),the change value between the two groups was not statistically significant(P >0.05).(5)SF-36 score: Before and after treatment, two groups of patients’ Physiological functioning(PF),Role-physical(RP),General health(GH),Role-emotional(RE),Bodily pain(BP),Vitality(VT),Social functioning(SF),Mental health(MH)were significantly improved, the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05);among the two groups to improve the value of comparison, physiological function(PF),Role-physical(RP),general health(GH),Role-emotional(RE)showed no significant difference(P >0.05);Bodily pain(BP),Vitality(VT),Social function(SF),Mental health(MH),the improvement of all indexes were statistically significant(P <0.05).Difference in PF was statistically significant between(P <0.05)the two groups at one-month follow-up and after treatment and no statistical difference(P >0.05)in other items;the difference in GH between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(6)The spleen kidney yang deficiency syndrome score: Both groups of patients were before and after treatment, the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05),after treatment between the two groups to improve the value of comparison, the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).The difference between the two groups of one-month follow-up and after treatment was not statistically significant(P >0.05),the change value between the two groups was not statistically significant(P >0.05).Conclusion: Needling Houxi(SI3)and Shenmai(BL62)combined with modified long snake moxibustion for the treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome had better therapeutic effects than the control group in improving patients’ fatigue symptoms, bad mood, and somatic pain... |
