Discussion On Prolonging The Survival Time Of HIV-infected Patients With Chinese Medicine

Object:The object is wherether the treatmen with Chinese medicine can prolong the survival time of HIV-infected patients to benefit the subsequent research of efficacy and clinical work.Methods: Through the introduction of survival analysis,combined with practice and clinical cases,the author analyses the problems in the literature about prolonging the survival time of HIV-infected patients with Chinese medicine.And then using theory give the advices in the efficacy evaluation and clinical treatment to benefit to the survival time of patients.Results: At present,Chinese medicine for HIV infection can stable the immune function recently,and improve the symptoms and signs significantly.However,prolonging the survival time of HIV-infected patients with Chinese medicine more stay in the speculation stage with improving the CD4 + T lymphocyte count and symptoms and signs.Lack of large sample,long-term cohort study,especially prospective cohort study of survival analysis reported that the impact of Chinese medicine on the survival time of HIV infection is still not accurate.Conclusion:Chinese medicine to improve the clinical symptoms and quality of life of HIV-infected patients is positive,but to prolong the survival time just stay in the speculation stage.In the study of efficacy,the Chinese medicine preparations have been or are used for 10 years of survival analysis with large cases,especially the prospective cohort study to confirm the exactness;in clinical treatment,measureing and balancing the "fuzheng" and "Quxie" may benefit to prolong the survival time of patients.
