| Gastralgia is a disease mainly manifested by stomachache or the pain near the heart pit,it had been described in Huangdi ’s Internal Classic,but only as a symptom,practitioners of later generations confused Gastralgia with Cardiodynia.This paper system combing the evolution of the name of Gastralgia and summarizing the discussion of doctors in various periods,to understand its development,evolution and context,and then to have a more comprehensive understanding of Gastralgia.Therefore,it can provide reference for clinical practice.During the qin and han dynasties,Gastralgia had already been called.In Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases,gastral cavity was refferred to as "under the heart";Gastralgia had been listed separately and gradually became an independent disease in song and jin dynasties.The disease was officially identified as Gastralgia by doctors in the ming and qing.Gastralgia was treated from the "under the heart" aspect in qin and han dynasties.During the wei,jin,southern and northern dynasties,the treatment was mostly from the aspects of meridian,diet,ascaris and so on.In sui and tang dynasties,"heartache and bellyache" was mostly treated with cold-evil.Doctors during the song and jin dynasties,treated Gastralgia from pathological products such as phlegm and retained fluid,as well as cold-evil and pathogenic stagnation.During the ming and qing dynasties,doctors had a deeper understanding of Gastralgia,and the treatment of Gastralgia was more standardized,syndrome differentiation and treatment administration was mostly based on the eight principles. |
