| Objective:To study the expression of cytokeratin5/6(CK5/6)in breast cancer and analyze its relationship with clinicopathological features. Methods:A total of 115 breast cancer patients treated with modified radical mastectomy with complete pathological data were colected in The Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from January 1,2017 to December 31,2017.The expressions of CK5/6 in breast cancer tissues were detected by immunohistochemical staining and the statistical software SPSS 22.0 was used to analyze its relationship with clinicopathological features of breast cancer.Thec~2 test was used for counting data. Results:The positive expression rate of CK5/6 protein in 115 cases of breast cancer was 10.4%(12/115).The positive expression rate of CK5/6 in triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)was 42.9%(6/14),which was significantly higher than that of Non-triple-negative breast cancer(5.9%(6/101)).The difference was statistically significant(c~2=17.930,P<0.001).There was no correlation between its expression and patient age, tumor size, lymph node metastasis,TNM staging, histological grade, and expression of HER-2(P>0.05),but the difference with ER,PR and Ki67 was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The positive expression rate of CK5/6 protein in TNBC was significantly higher than that of Non-triple-negative breast cancer. The expression of CK5/6 protein was related to ER,PR and Ki67.And,it could be used as an important index to evaluate the prognosis of breast cancer patients. |
