Clinical Study About Sheng Wei Decoction On The Treatment Of Chronic Atrophic Gastritis With Intestinal Metaplasia

ObjectiveChronic atrophic gastritis(referred to as the CAG)is a common digestive system disease,Intestinal metaplasia(referred to as the IM)is considered to be one kind of Precancerous lesion of the stomach,which is a widespread disease and difficult to cure.At present there is no specific treatment.Professor GeYan summarized clinical experience for many years,refining and pick out the dominant medicine to constitute "ShengWei Decoction",its efficacy lies in "Tonifying qi and strengthen the spleen,promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis and detoxificating",etc.The purpose of this study was to observe the clinical and pathologic effects of CAG in two groups,to observe the subtype distribution of IM and the expression rate of caudal-related homeobox transcription factor 2(referred to as the CDX2),to evaluate its clinical efficacy and safety objectively,and to further elaborate the intervention mechanism of Chinese medicine on CAG and IM,to summarize the experience of TCM treatment of the CAG.MethodsA total of 64 cases of CAG patients were collected from the outpatient department of Second hospital of traditional Chinese medicine in Guangdong from August 2016 to August 2017.The treatment group and the control group were randomly divided into two groups.The course of treatment is 6 months,Then we observed and compared clinical and pathologic effects of CAG in two groups,observed the subtype distribution of IM and the expression rate of CDX2.Results1.The clinical effect: the treatment group and control group can reduce the Clinical symptom integral(P<0.01),but the treatment group were better than control group(P<0.05),In terms of total efficiency the treatment groupis also dominant(P<0.01).2.Histologic improvement: Atrophy levels of two groups after the treatment were decreased(P<0.05),the treatment group in reversing atrophic is better than that in control group(P<0.05),the treatment group is also effective in reversing IM(P<0.05),the control group before and after treatment of IM level has no significance(P>0.05).3.Subtype distribution of IM: Because we lost 4 patients,60 cases of subtybe IM are I and II.Before and after treatment,the differences of IM subtype distribution were statistically significant(P<0.05).It is shown that both of them are effective in reversing the subtype IM,and the effect of treatment group is dominant.4.Expression of CDX2: The expression rate in two groups of CDX2 was decreased after treatment(P<0.05).The expression of CDX2 in two groups was inhibited,and there was no statistical difference between them.ConclusionShengWei Decoction can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and histopathological changes of CAG,and inhibit the abnormal expression of CDX2 in gastric mucosa.It has significant effect on CAG and provides a new clinical choice for the overall treatment of CAG.
