| Objective We systematically analyze the effect of two surgical methods(open and closed surgical technique)on the periodontal status of impacted anterior teeth, and provide evidence based on evidence-based medicine for the treatment of impacted teeth.Method Cochrane library,PubMed,EMbase,VIP,Wanfang,CNKI and CBMWeb were searched for the related researches on open and closed surgical technique.Leak checking was conducted through Google and searching the references of literatures, and the quality of the included studies was evaluated, and final indicators were analyzed by the software Rev Man5.3 Meta.Result Among the 9 researches included in the experiment,3 were randomized controlled trial(RCT),and 6 were clinical controlled trials(CCT).The results of the Meta analysis were shown: comparison between open and closed group(1)changes in periodontal pocket depth(7 researches): [MD=-0.01,95%CI(-0.16,0.13),P=0.84],the difference was no statistically significant;(2)changes in bone support(3 researches):[MD=1.47,95%CI(-0.77,3.71),P=0.2],the difference was no statistically significant;(3)Gingival circumstances: changes in bleeding index(2 researches): [MD=0.12,95%CI(-0.19,0.43),P=0.44);changs in gingival index(3 researches): [MD=0.19,95%CI(0.02-0.36),P=0.03],the difference was no statistically significant;(4)changes in the attached gingiva width(2 researches): analysis was conduced through the subgroup of mesial side, distal side, and lip side in accordance with the original data,to be specific,(1)mesial side: [MD=-0.26,95%CI(-2.67,2.16),P=0.84];(2)lip side: [MD=-0.14,95%CI(-2.58,2.31),P=0.91];(3)distal side: [MD=-0.24,95%CI(-1.35,0.88),P=0.68],the difference was no statistically significant;(5)changes in the keratinized gingiva width(2researches): analysis was conduced through the subgroup of distal buccal, buccal, and mesial buccal point in accordance with the original data.to be specific,(1)distal buccal point:[MD=0.43,95%CI(-0.17,1.04),P=0.16];(2)buccal point:[MD=0.67,95%CI(-0.05-1.38),P=0.07];(3)mesial buccal point: [MD=0.34,95%CI(-0.31,0.98),P=0.31],the difference was no statistically significant. Conclusion There was no difference in the the periodontal conditions of impacted anterior teeth between the open and closed surgical technique.Clinically,we can refer to the position of impacted anterior teeth, doctors’ personal habits and so on to chose the appropriate surgical methods. |
