| Objective: To compare the characteristics of atherosclerotic plaques in common carotid arteries at different stages of DR in patients with T2 DM.Method: 197 patients with T2 DM were divided into group A(77 cases)according to their FFA results: NDR group;group B(65 cases): T2 DM combined with NPDR group;group C(55 cases):T2DM combined with PDR group;High-frequency ultrasound was used to observe the carotid intima-media thickness(IMT),the largest atheroma transverse diameter product,the number of plaques,and the stability of the plaque.Results:There were no statistically significant differences in left IMT between the two patients with different fundus lesions in T2DM(P>0.05).There was significant difference in NDR and PDR between the right common carotid artery(P<0.05).For the largest atheromatous plaque product,the maximum transverse diameter product values of the left and right common carotid plaques were not exactly the same,and the left common carotid atherosclerotic plaque maximum transverse diameter product value NDR group and There was a statistically significant difference between the PDR group(P<0.017)and the maximum transverse diameter product of the right common carotid atherosclerotic plaque between the NDR group and the NPDR group(P<0.017).There were differences in the number of cervical atherosclerotic plaques in patients with different stages of DR(χ2=16.021,P<0.05).There were differences in the nature of cervical atherosclerotic plaques in patients with different stages of DR(χ2=12.628,P<0.05).Conclusion: There were statistically significant differences in NDR and PDR between the right common carotid artery and IMT in patients with different fundus lesions of T2DM(P<0.05).The maximum transverse diameter product values of the left and right common carotid atherosclerotic plaques were not identical.The maximum transverse diameter product value of the leftcommon carotid atherosclerotic plaque was statistically different between the NDR group and the PDR group(P <0.017),the maximum transverse diameter product value of the right common carotid atherosclerotic plaque was statistically different between the NDR group and the NPDR group(P < 0.017).There were differences in the number and nature of cervical atherosclerotic plaques in patients with different stages of DR(P<0.05). |
