| As the gradual improvement of Chinese primary health care system,grassroots medical staffs are increasingly embodying their importance.Grassroots medical institutions provide health care services for people.At the same time,they have an irreplaceable role to the improvement of Chinese medical information network.More and more researches showed that medical staff was a high-risk group of burnout.Burnout not only had a negative impact on the work of medical staff,but also had a negative impact on their physical and mental health.At present,there were relatively less researches on the burnout of grassroots medical staffs in China.Therefore,it was very necessary to explore the causes of burnout in grassroots medical staff so as to provide pointed suggestions and measures to reduce the level of burnout in grassroots medical staff and improve their professional lives.Objectives: This study was designed to assess the status of the job burnout and the occupational quality of life,their influencing factors,and the correlation between burnout and occupational quality of life among grassroots medical staff in Nanchang City,Jiangxi Province.Method: In this study,with a stratified random cluster sampling method,777 grassroots medical staff were sampled from the Nanchang City of Jiangxi Province.Their burnout levels,personality traits and occupational quality of life were measured with Maslach Burnout Inventory(MBI-GS),Eysenck Personality Questionnaire Short Scale(EPQ-RS),Quality of Work Life Scale(QWL7-32)respectively.Then the status of job burnout and occupational quality of life,their influencing factors,and the correlation between burnout and occupational quality of life among grassroots medical staff in Nanchang City were analyzed.Results:(1)The detection rate of job burnout of grassroots medical staff in Nanchang City was 47.5%,among which the mild,moderate and severe detection rates were 43.6%,3.5% and 0.4% respectively.(2)With the increase of age,the degree of burnout decreased gradually(P<0.05).The degree of burnout of grassroots medical staff without children were higher than that of those with children(P<0.05).The degree of burnout of unmarried people were higher than that of married(P<0.05).The degree of occupational burnout of non-tenured staff were higher than that of tenured staff(P<0.05).The higher the staff’s income was,the lower the degree of burnout was(P<0.05).The higher the professional title was,the lower the burnout was(P<0.05).Staff with less than 10 working years had the highest degree of burnout(P<0.05).(3)The degree of burnout decreased with the increase of the scores of the extroversion-introversion and hide dimensions,and increased with the increase of the neurotic dimension(P<0.05).(4)The scores of occupational quality of life of male grassroots medical staff were higher than those of females(P<0.05).The scores of occupational quality of life of grassroots medical staffs with children were higher than those without children(P<0.05).The scores of married people were higher than those of unmarried persons(P<0.05).The scores of occupational quality of life increased gradually with age(P<0.05).The scores of occupational quality of life in 36000 group were the highest(P< 0.05).Senior titles staff had the highest scores(P<0.05).The highest score was in the 325year group(P<0.05).In the different positions,the clinicians had the highest score(P<0.05).(5)The higher the burnout level,the scores of emotional exhaustion,depersonalization,low sense of achievement was,the lower the occupational quality of life score was(P<0.05).Scores of three dimensions of burnout were negatively correlated with occupational quality of life(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)The burnout of grassroots medical staff in Nanchang City,Jiangxi Province was at medium level.Attention should be paid by relevant departments and preventive treatment should be carried out as early as possible.(2)Unmarried,younger,non-tenured,lower-income,lower-ranking medical staff were the high-risk groups of burnout and should be given more attention.(3)Personality characteristics were closely related to job burnout.More attention should be paid to employees who are prone to anxiety,introversion,and psychological counseling should be provided if necessary.(4)Burnout was negatively correlated with occupational quality of life,appropriate measures should be taken to reduce the level of burnout of grassroots medical staffs and improve their professional life quality. |
