Objective:To investigate the expression and clinical significance of serum PGR?G-17 and IL-10 in chronic non-atrophic gastritis infected with different types of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori).Methods:(1)Sixty patients with chronic non-atrophic gastritis infected with H.pylori were selected randomly by gastroscopy and histopathological examination and 13-carbon breath test. The patients were enrolled in the study on a voluntary basis and approved by the Hospital Ethics Committee.(2)H.pylori gene antibody(CagA,VacA,UreB,UreA)was detected by immunoblotting. The ratio of serum pepsinogen I(PG I)to pepsinogen II(PG II)was determined by microporous double antibody sandwich method and gastrin 17(G-17)and interleukin 10(IL-10)were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(Elisa).(3)According to the standard of H.pylori classification, the patients were divided into two groups: type I H.pylori infection group(n = 45)and type II H.pylori infection group(n = 15).(4)To compare the serological changes of H.pylori infection among different bacterial types by statistical analysis and to explore its clinical significance.Results:(1)The infection rate of type I H.pylori in chronic non-atrophic gastritis was higher than that of type II H.pylori.The infection rate of type I H.pylori and type II H.pylori were 75%(45 / 60)and 25%(15 / 60)respectively.(2)The ratio of PGR in type I H.pylori infection group was lower than that in type II H.pylori infection group. The mean ratio of PGR was 13.97 ±4.38 in type I H.pylori infection group and it was17.96 ±4.80 in type II H.pylori infection group. There was significant difference between the two groups(p < 0.05).(3)The level of expression of serum G-17 of type I H.pylori infection group was approximately the same as that of type II H.pyloriinfection group. The mean value of serum G-17 in the type I H.pylori infection group was 16.79-2.50 and the mean value of serum G-17 in type II H.pylori infected group was 15.28-3.94,there was no significant difference between the two groups(p> 0.05).(4)The expression of serum IL-10 in type I H.pylori infection group was lower than that in type II H.pylori infection group. The mean value of IL-10 was 35.21 ±4.48 in type I H.pylori infection group and it was 39.15 ±3.09 in type II H.pylori infection group. The difference was statistically significant between the two groups(p < 0.05).Conclusion:Type I H.pylori infection is predominant in patients with chronic non-atrophic gastritis infected with H.pylori.The anti-inflammatory and immune mechanism of chronic non-atrophic gastritis infected with type I H.pylori was lower than that of chronic non-atrophic gastritis infected with type II H.pylori, but the risk factor of developing into gastric cancer was higher than that of chronic non-atrophic gastritis infected with type II H.pylori.
