Observation On Therapeutic Effect And Mechanism Of Yiqi Jiedu Huayu Recipe On Chronic Recurrent Ulcerative Colitis

Purpose Through clinical randomized and controlled study,the therapeutic effect of Yiqi Jiedu Huayu Recipe on chronic recurrent ulcerative colitis was observed,and the pathological process with oxidative stress injury as the core was explored to find its mechanism.Method A total of 60 patients with chronic recurrent mild-to-moderate active UC in digestive medicine outpatient and inpatient department of Anhui Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital were selected to study the syndrome differentiation of Spleen-stomach Qi deficiency combined with blood stasis in intestines and collaterals.They were randomly divided into two groups.The traditional Chinese medicine group was treated with Yiqi Jiedu Huayu recipe and mesalazine,while the control group was only treated with mesalazine.The course of treatment was one month.The comprehensive curative effect,TCM symptoms and syndromes,endoscopy score,Mayo score,inflammation index,oxidative stress and Incidence of adverse reactions index of the two groups were studied.Results(1)The comprehensive clinical efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).(2)The curative effect of TCM syndromes in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).(3)Both groups can improve the symptoms of patients(P<0.05).The Chinese medicine group was better than the control group in improving the symptoms of diarrhea,abdominal pain,mucous stool,diet reduction,internal urgency,weight and fatigue(P<0.05).The two groups had the same effect in improving pus and blood stool.(4)The scores of endoscopy in the two groups was decreased significantly after treatment(P<0.01),and the repair of intestinal mucosa in the traditional Chinese medicine group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).(5)The Mayo score of the two groups was decreased significantly after treatment(P<0.01),and the control of UC attack in the traditional Chinese medicine group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05).(6)ESR and CRP were decreased in both groups after treatment(P<0.01),and the Chinese medicine group was better than the control group in controlling inflammation(P<0.05).(7)SOD and T-AOC in the two groups were increased significantly(P<0.01),MDA and LPO were decreased significantly(P<0.01).Compared with the control group,SOD in the treatment group was increased significantly(P<0.01)and MDA was decreased significantly(P<0.05).(8)No adverse reactions were found in the two groups.Conclusion Yiqi Jiedu Huayu Decoction can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and mucosal condition of chronic recurrent ulcerative colitis patients,which is better than western medicine alone.Its mechanism may be related to scavenging oxygen free radicals and alleviating inflammation.
