Objective:To provide new therapeutic targets for the patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS)by retrospectively analyzing the relationship between epicardial fat thickness(EFT)and adverse cardiovascular event in acute coronary syndrome.Method:200 patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS)were included in our study with a time ranging from December 2015 to December 2017 incardiovascular department,YanTai hospital.General clinical data,(including gender, age, smoking history, body mass index, hypertension, diabetes and lipid profile, statin use history etc were collected). The thickness of the epicardial fat was measured by echocardiography before discharge. The incidence of MACE was observed by prospective long-term follow-up.The study subjects were divided into larger groups of EFT(group A>5mm)and EFT(group B<5mm)according to the median of EFT,and the incidence frequency and lasting duration of the two groups were compared.A single factor Logistic regression analysis was established to analyze the effect of EAT thickness on MACE in ACS patients.Results:1.There was no difference between sex,TC,TG,HDL,LDL-C-C,smoking history, high blood pressure,CRP levels in the two groups.(with a:Psex=0.134;:PTC=0.173;PTC=0.861;PHDt-C=0.913;PCRP=0.570 PSmoke =0.352;P High blood pressure =0.176:PLDH-C =0.445 respectively). However,in age,BMI,diabetes history, there remains a statistically difference(with a Page= 0.029;P diabetes =0.038;P BMI =0.014 respectively). There was no statistically significant difference between EFT and coronary artery lesion as well(P=0.369).2.Multivariate linear regression analysis found that EFT have linear relationship with BMI,age, diabetes,Furthermore,BMI has a bigger effect on EFT compared with age and diabetes history(BMI standard regression coefficient b ’ is 0.457,age b ’is 0.212,diabetes b ’is 0.186).3.According to univariate Logistic regression analysis,EFT and age were the risk factors for MACE events in patients with acute coronary syndrome(EFT:P=0.004).Age:P=0.048).4.Using kaplan-meier method to evaluate the survival curve of MACE events in ACS patients, the survival curve of the larger group of EFT was significantly higher than that of EFT.According to the log-rank test, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P=0.02).Conclusion:EFT,as one of the independent risk factors for ACS redevelopment MACE,may be a potential treatment target.EFT was positively correlated with other major risk factors of ACS(BMI,Age,Diabetes).EFT was unrelated to the number of vascular lesions and MACE events. The EFT has a great impact on the survival rate of ACS patients who undergone a recurrence of MACE.
