Objective To investigate the changes of corrected visual acuity and corneal aberration before and after pterygium surgery,to understand the changes of visual function of patients after pterygium surgery, and to study the difference of corneal curvature between healthy eyes and surgical eyes of patients with monocular caries. Methods Twenty patients(27 eyes)with primary pterygium were enrolled in the ophthalmology department of our hospital from June 2016 to December2017.All patients underwent pterygium excision combined with autologous conjunctival transplantation in our hospital..All patients were examined for corrected visual acuity, corneal topography, and Pentacam three-dimensional anterior segment analysis before and after discharge from January 1.The changes before and after surgery were analyzed. Results There was no significant difference in corrected visual acuity(logMAR)before and after surgery(P>0.05).The mean curvature of the anterior surface of the cornea was significantly different from that of the preoperative average corneal curvature(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in corneal curvature between the eyes of the monocular patients and the corneabefore the operation(P>0.05).The astigmatism of the anterior surface of the cornea was significantly lower than that after surgery(P<0.05).The total postoperative high-order aberrations decreased significantly after surgery(P<0.05).The postoperative horizontal coma and vertical coma were significantly lower than before surgery(P<0.05).Postoperative horizontal clover aberration and oblique clover aberration All were lower than before surgery(P<0.05),and there was no significant change in spherical aberration before surgery(P>0.05).Conclusion The high-order aberrations and astigmatism of pterygium patients are lower than those before operation. There is no statistically significant difference in corneal curvature and corneal curvature after operation in patients with monocular pterygium.
