| Objective To compare the clinical outcome of single implant crowns in the anterior maxillafollowing immediate placement with immediate prosthesis or delayed prosthesis. Methods 59 patients within single implant crown in the anterior maxilla were included in the study: 28 patients received immediate implant placement and immediate prosthesis(II group),28 patients were given immediate placement and delayed prosthesis(ID group). The implant surival rate, pink esthetic score(PES),white esthetic score(WES),bone resorption surrounding implants and patients satisfication were compared between two groups at 3 month,6 month and 12 month after final restoration.Results(1)The implant survival rate of the two groups all reached 100%.(2)The bone resorption at distal site at 3 month in II group was(0.34±0.18)mm,which was significantly lower than(0.45±0.13)mm of ID groups, but at 6 month and 12 month it showed no stastical difference between two groups.(3)PES in II group at 3 month,6 month and 12 month were(10.00± 1.03)、(10.59 ±1.20)、(10.79± 0.98),which was higher than ID group. There was statistic significant between them.for 12 months of permanent restoration, the root convexity score was the lowest among the seven soft tissue observation indexes, and the score of II group was(0.86±0.52),the ID group score was(0.69±0.47).(4)WES.At 12 month after permanent restoration,WES of II group was(7.41± 0.83),and WES of ID group was(6.66± 1.04),There was statistic significant between them.(5)Patients’ satisfaction. At 12 month after permanent restoration, patients’ satisfaction of II group was(9.12±0.28),and patients’ satisfaction of ID group was(8.89±0.35),There was statistic difference between them. Conclusions There was no statistic difference in the marginal bone resorption of impl-ants and implant survival rate between two groups, but in terms of aesthetic outcome, immediate prosthesis was superior to delayed prosthesis, and patients’ satisfaction was also high. |
