Objective: The main purpose of this study was to evaluate the short-term efficacy of acupuncture for 8 weeks in alleviating damp-heat associated CP/CPPS.The second is to evaluate the efficacy of follow-up at 12 weeks after treatment in order to obtain higher evidence of ideal long-term effect.Methods: 113 patients with damp-heat accumulation type chronic pelvic floor pain syndrome were selected and randomly divided into treatment group and control group,with 58 patients in the treatment group and 55 patients in the control group.The treatment group selected the back: shen shu,Ming liao,hui Yang;Abdomen: qi hai,guan yuan,zhong ji and san yin,while the control group chose back: shen yu,zhong liao,hui yang;Abdomen: gas sea,guan yuan,middle pole and three Yin cross side open non-meridional non-point micro acupuncture.Three times a week for 8 weeks.Clinical efficacy was evaluated using the National Institutes of Health Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index(NIH-CPSI)and Extruded Prostate Secretion(EPS)Scores and the International Register of Erectile Function 5(IIEF-5).Results: 1: The clinical efficacy of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05);After treatment,both NIH-CPSI and EPS were significantly lower than before treatment(P<0.05),and IIEF-5 score was significantly higher than before treatment(P<0.05);The reduction of NIH-CPSI and EPS in the treatment group was significantly greater than that in the control group,and the IIEF-5 score was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).2:There were no significant changes in NIH-CPSI and EPS and IIEF-5 in the treatment group(P>0.05);NIH-CPSI and EPS in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the IIEF-5 score was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: Acupuncture on the back: shen shu,Ming liao,hui Yang;Abdomen: the short-term and long-term curative effect of qihai,guan yuan,zhongji and sanyin cross in the treatment of chronic pelvic floor pain syndrome...
