Objective: The main objectives of the study are to observe the effect of Compound Zhenwu Granules on NT-proBNP,sST2 Protein and cTnI in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF)-heart-kidney yang deficiency syndrome, and to explore its mechanism of action. Methods: According to New Functional Grading Standards of New York Heart Association(NYHA)and TCM Syndrome Differentiation Standards,60 cases were selected from CHF patients who were admitted to the Cadre Cardiovascular Department at the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2017 to January 2019.All cases were divided into drug treatment group and control group in accordance with random number table method,30 cases in each group.Cases in control group received conventional Western medicine program, and those in drug treatment group received combined therapy of conventional Western medicine and Compound Zhenwu Granules. The treatment lasted for four weeks.Changes of NT-proBNP,sST2 protein,cTnI and TCM syndrome scores before and after treatment were recorded in each group, and statistically analyzed with spss 21.0 software. The measurement data were expressed as (?)ąs.For data before and after treatment, the paired sample t test was used for intragroup comparison, the independent sample t test for intergroup comparison, and the rank sum test for ranked data, and the chi-square test for counting data.P>0.05 indicates no statistical difference;P<0.05 or P<0.01 indicates statistical difference or statistical significance. Results: 1.Comparison before and after treatment in drug treatment group: CHF patients were observed with improvement of LVEF(P<0.05),TCM syndrome scores, cardiac function,NT-proBNP,sST2 protein, and cTnI after treatment(P<0.01).2.Comparison before and after treatment in control group: CHF patients were observed with improvement of TCM syndrome scores, cardiac function,NT-proBNP,and cTnI after treatment(P<0.01).3.Comparison between the two groups after treatment: After treatment, the improvement of LVEF(P<0.05),cardiac function(P<0.01),TCM syndrome scores(P<0.05),NT-proBN P(P<0.01),and cTnI(P<0.05)was more obvious in drug treatment group than control group;but no significant difference was observed in the improvement of sST2 protein between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions: Combined therapy of Western medicine and Compound Zhenwu Granules has better efficacy than simple Western medicine in improving LVEF and cardiac function, lowering TCM syndrome score and reducing NT-proBNP and cTnI.The mechanism of action may be associated with diuretic and cardiac stimulating effect, effect of lowering cardiac load, inhibiting excessive activation of sympathetic neural system and RAAS system. |
