Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Simple Obesity By Acupuncture And Body Therapy

Objective To study the clinical effect of acupuncture and moxibustion on body therapy in the treatment of simple obesity.Methods The 60 patients who met the diagnostic criteria for simple obesity were all admitted to the Gaoping Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from September 2017 to February 2018 for beauty and weight loss in acupuncture and moxibustion clinics.According to the random grouping method,the 60 patients admitted to the study were grouped into 30 cases in each group,which were set as control group and treatment group respectively.The treatment group(acupuncture and moxibustion group)adopted the acupuncture and moxibustion program combining the regulation of viscera function and the adjustment of consciousness to carry out acupuncture and moxibustion treatment.In the control group,30 cases all performed ordinary acupuncture treatment,and then statistically analyzed the waist circumference,weight,BMI,and clinical efficacy of the two groups of patients.Results Compared with before treatment,the waist circumferences,body weights and BMI of the two groups of patients after treatment were significantly lower(P<0.05);Compared with the control group,the waist circumference,body weight and BMI after treatment of the treatment group of patients were significantly lower(P<0.05),but the differences of waist circumference,weight,BMI before treatment between the two groups of patients were not significant(P>0.05).In the treatment group,16 cases were markedly effective,10 cases were effective,the total effective rate was 86.7%(26/30).In the control group,12 cases were markedly effective,7 cases were effective,the total effective rate was 63.3%(19/30).The total treatment effective rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture and moxibustion therapy is better than ordinary acupuncture therapy in treating simple obesity.It can effectively reduce the waist circumference,weight,and BMI of patients and improve the quality of life of patients.It is worth promoting and applying in clinical practice.
