Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Allergic Rhinitis With Catgut Embedding At Acupoint

Objective : In this study,the clinical efficacy of the two methods in the treatment of allergic rhinitis and the effects on human serum ige and interleukin-4il-4 were observed by comparing the two treatment methods of acupoint embedding and oral cetirizine.To provide a more effective,simple and reliable treatment for allergic rhinitis,and to explore the effectiveness,scientific and feasibility of catgut implantation in the treatment of allergic rhinitis.Methods:The subjects of this study were all the allergic rhinitis patients in the Department of Encephalopathy of the third traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Shanxi College of traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2017 to December 2017.They were randomly divided into treatment group(n = 40)and control group(n = 40).The acupoints were selected as Feshu(bilateral Feiyu,Pi Yu(bilateral vermilion),Shenshu(lateral Shuangju,Geshu(bilateral),Xuehai(bilateral)and Shangxing),the treatment time was once every 2weeks,and the control group was treated with cettirizine orally,the control group was treated with cetirizine orally,and the control group was treated with cetirizine once every 2weeks.The treatment time was 8 weeks.Before and after treatment,the patients in both groups were evaluated for symptoms and signs,and the levels of serum ige and il-4 were measured in venous blood samples.Results:1.Evaluation of curative effect: in the treatment group,there were 40 patients,including 24 cases of remarkable effect,13 cases of effective and 3 cases of ineffective,with a total effective rate of 92%,and the control group included 40 cases,of which 9cases were effective and 26 cases were effective.There were 5 cases of ineffective,the total effective rate was 87%.After treatment,the total effective rate of the two groups was significantly higher than that of the control group(P < 0.05).2.Comparison of the total scores of clinical symptoms and signs:After treatment,the total scores of clinical symptoms and signs of allergic rhinitis in the two groups were all decreased compared with those before treatment,and there was a significant statistical difference between the two groups(P=0.00 < 0.05),that is,the curative effect of acupoint catgut embedding group was better than that of cetirizine group.3.Comparison of serum ige: After the treatment,the serum ige levels in the acupoint embedding group and the oral cetirizine group were lower than those before the treatment,and there was a significant statistical difference between the two groups(P=0.00 < 0.05),that is,the therapeutic effect of the acupoint catgut embedding group was better than that of the cetirizine group.4.comparison of serum IL-4: After treatment,the levels of serum il-4 in the treatment group and the control group were lower than those before treatment,and there was a significant difference between the two groups(P=0.00 < 0.05),that is,the therapeutic effect of the acupoint catgut embedding group was better than that of the cetirizine group.5.Safety determination: during treatment,no adverse events occurred in both groups,indicating the safety of this study.Conclusion:Both acupoint catgut implantation and cetirizine are safe treatment methods,which can improve the clinical symptoms and signs of allergic rhinitis,and can reduce the content of igeil-4 in serum.The curative effect of acupoint catgut implantation is more obvious,which is worthy of clinical application and popularization.
