The Study On The Characteristics Of Distributions Of Children’s Constitution Of Chinese Medicine With Snoring Disease

ObjectiveThrough the investigation of children’ s constitution of Chinese Medicine with snoring disease,to identify the types of constitution of TCM,and analyze the characteristics of distributions of constitution,providing a theoretical basis for TCM constitution identification and disease prevention of children with snoring disease.MethodsThe children aged 2-14 years old with snoring disease who were admitted to the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of Guangdong Provincial hospital of TCM from January 2018 to January 2019 were collected.The general condition of the children was recorded.To identify TCM constitution through the unified constitution questionnaire.The data was recorded and made with statistic analysis.Results1.A total of 246 children with snoring disease were collected in the study,and the males were more than the females.The onset age was mainly concentrated on 4-7 years old.In terms of the factor of airway obstruction,there were 233(94.7%)cases with hypertrophy of tonsil,235(95.5%)cases with adenoid vegetation,87 cases with allergic rhinitis(35.4%),104(42.3%)cases with chronic rhinosinusitis,21(8.5%)cases with deviation of nasal septum.2.Among the total of children with snoring disease,there were 224(91.1%)cases of biased constitution,22(8.9%)cases of peaceful constitution.There were 170(69.1%)cases of simple type of constitution,thereinto,39 cases of Qi deficiency mass,36 cases of Yin deficiency mass and 34 caes of phlegmy-dampness mass were common.There were 76(30.9%)cases of complex type of constitution,thereinto,of which Qi deficiency mass accompanied phlegmy-dampness mass 32 cases are the major part.To rank them by frequency from high and low among the major constitution type,in turn,Qi deficiency mass 74(30.1%)cases,phlegmy-dampness mass 56(22.8%)cases,Yin deficiency mass 40(16.3%)cases,peaceful mass 22(8.9%)cases,Yang deficiency mass 22(8.9%)cases,dampness-heat mass 18(7.3%)cases,and Qi stagnation 14(5.7%)cases.3.The distributions of major constitution of children with snoring disease in gender,age,body type and whether patients with hypertrophy of tonsil,adenoid vegetation,allergic rhinitis,chronic rhinosinusitis or deviation of nasal septum had no statistically difference(P>0.05).There was statistically difference in different course time.Comparing to ones whose course time was longer than 2 years,the constitution ratio of peaceful constitution in ones whose course time was less than 2 years was higher,while phlegmy-dampness mass were lower.Conclusion1.Among all types of constitution of children with snoring disease,biased constitution was significantly more than peaceful constitution,simple constitution was significantly more than complex constitution.Among the major types of constitution,Qi deficiency mass,phlegmy-dampness mass,Yin deficiency mass were common.2.There was statistically difference in the distributions of major constitution of children with snoring disease in different course time.Comparing to ones whose course time was longer than 2 years,the constitution ratio of peaceful constitution in ones whose course time was less than 2 years was higher,while and phlegmy-dampness mass were lower.To a certain extent,it hinted that constitution and disease influence each other,the longer course time,the greater the effect.
