ObjectiveAs a common pathema in the Department of Acupuncture,Lumbar disc herniation could cause severe pain and reduce the quality of life.At present, conservative treatment is the main treatment for lumbar disc herniation, but its effect is still unsatisfactory. This research aim to explore the effect of abdominal acupuncture combined with acupoint injection through design random exper, and provides a more efficient treatment for Lumbar disc herniation.MethodsSixty six outpatients with Lumbar disc herniation who visit acupuncture department of the first affiliated hospital with Guangzhou University of TCM during January,2018 to December,2018 are selected according to inclusion criteria. All these patients are randomly and averagely divided into two groups:observation group and control group.Patients in observation group receive the treatment of abdominal acupuncture combined with acupoint injection while control group is only treated by conventional acupuncture.Observation group and control group’ s treatment lasted for 30minutes,once every three day,8 times for 1 course. The study use lumbar function score(JOA score)and visual analogue score(VAS score)as main evaluating indicators of effect. Each patient’ s VAS score will be recorded before treatment,15 minutes after the first treatment and 1 course after each treatment while JOA score be recorded before treatment and after 1 course. All these data will bo processed by spss21.0.Results1.After the first treatment,VAS score of these two groups have a significant difference before and after treatment(P<0.01)and the difference of VAS score between the two groups is statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference of D-value of VAS score between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant. What’ s more, difference of observation group before and after treatment was greater than that of control group.2.After 1 couse,VAS score of these two groups have a significant difference before and after treatment(P<0.01).Difference of VAS score between the two groups is meanless(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in D-value of VAS score between the two groups before and after treatment.3.After 1 couse,JOA score of these two groups have a significant difference before and after treatment(P<0.01)and the difference of JOA score between the two groups is statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference of D-value of JOA score between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant.4.Curative effect evaluation:There are 8 clinical cure cases,14 markedly effective cases,8 effective cases,3 ineffective cases in observation group, with a total effective rate of 90.91%.At the same time, control group achieve 5 clinical cure cases,7 markedly effective cases,16 effective cases,5 ineffective cases, with a total effective rate of 84.85%.After rank sum test, the result of two groups were significantly di fferent(z=-2.070,P<0.05).ConelusionFrom the results of this study, these two groups both can relieve pain caused by lumbar disc herniation to a certain extent as well as improvement of lumbar spine function. But at the same time, this result also showed that the clinical curative ef’fect of abdominal acupuncture combined with acupoint injection is better than conventional acupuncture, especially in relieving acute low back pain. This research illustrate that abdominal acupuncture combined with acupoint injection could make a remarkable effect not only in relieving acute low back pain but also in improving lumbar spine function. The therapy is worth to popularize and apply in clinic because of its high efficiency, less pain, easy operation, well safety and so on.
