Objectives:1.To develop a maternal readiness for hospital discharge questionnaire.2.Understand the current situation of maternal readiness for hospital discharge.3.To explore the influencing factors of maternal readiness for hospital discharge.Methods:1.Use literature research methods to extensively read the literature related to maternal readiness for hospital discharge, and initially determine the entries and dimensions of the questionnaire. The Delphi expert consultation method was used to screen the dimensions and entries of the questionnaire;the questionnaire was debugged through a small sample test to form a preliminary draft of the maternal readiness for hospital discharge questionnaire.2.Questionnaire survey method was used to conduct pre-survey of 130 inpatients in the two top three hospitals, and the project analysis and reliability and validity test of the questionnaire were completed to form the final draft of the questionnaire.3.Using the convenient sampling method, the self-made maternal discharge readiness questionnaire was used as a tool to investigate 264 women who were about to be discharged from the two top three hospitals in Wuhan. The data were analyzed with spss20.0.The general information of maternal and the status of maternal discharge readiness were descriptively analyzed. The influencing factors of maternal discharge readiness were analyzed by single factor analysis and multiple regression analysis.Results:1.The maternity discharge readiness questionnaire was compiled through literature research method, clinical obstetric nurse consultation and maternal interview,Delphi expert consultation method, small sample test and questionnaire survey. The questionnaire has 22 items in 4 dimensions. The total Cronbach’s α coefficient of the questionnaire was 0.934,and the total split-half reliability was 0.804.The correlation coefficient between the scores of each dimension of the questionnaire and the total score of the questionnaire was 0.514~0.867,and the correlation coefficient between the scores of each dimension was 0.195~0.543,which were statistically significant(p<0.05).The CVI of the total questionnaire was 0.85.The CVI is 0.8-1;the exploratory factor analysis yields 4 common factors, the cumulative variance interpretation rate is 70.466%,and the entry factor load is 0.516~0.901.2.The average score of maternal discharge readiness was 168.43±2.01,and the score was 76.6%.The scores of the four dimensions were 30.52±0.40(76.3%),self-care knowledge 36.11±0.59(72.2%),baby care.Knowledge 40.68 ± 0.85(67.8%),available social support 61.13 ± 0.59(87.3%).3.Univariate analysis showed that there was a statistically significant difference in maternal discharge readiness scores between spouse relationship, education level, primipara, residence, complications, infant birth, planned pregnancy, and husband care satisfaction.(p<0.05).4.The results of multivariate linear stepwise regression analysis showed that there were 4 variables entering the regression equation, which were the education level, whether the primipara, the spouse relationship, and the baby’s birth.Conclusions:1.The questionnaire prepared in this study has good reliability and can be used as an effective tool to evaluate maternal readiness.2.The readiness of the study subjects was at the upper-middle level.Maternal discharge with a good maternal level is higher than that of a spouse.Maternal women with junior high school education and below have poor discharge readiness compared with maternity women of other educational levels. The maternal readiness of primiparas is lower than that of non-prime women.Poor, the maternal discharge in the town is better than the maternal in the rural areas. The maternal with complications is worse than the maternal discharge without complications. The maternal readiness of the baby is better than the baby.Maternal, maternal pregnant women are better prepared for discharge than unplanned pregnancies, and maternal discharges are better than those with low satisfaction.3.The educational level, whether primipara, maternal relationship, and baby birth are the main influencing factors of maternal discharge readiness.
