ObjectivesBy investigating the readiness for hospital discharge of patients undergoing hysteromyoma in three grade A hospitals in Jingzhou and Baoding,to evaluate the status quo and influencing factors of readiness for hospital discharge of patients undergoing hysteromyomectomy;the influence of demographic data,disease/treatment related factors and discharge guidance quality on the discharge readiness of patients with hysteromyoma after operation was preliminarily discussed, and the purpose was to put forward targeted improvement measures for the future nursing according to the analysis results;to improve patients’ self-awareness of the readiness for hospital discharge.and promote self-management and rehabilitation after discharge.MethodThis study is a cross-sectional study of non experimental research methods. From December 2018 to June 2019,the postoperative patients undergoing hysteromyoma in 3 Grade-A hospitals in Jingzhou and Baoding were investigated. The questionnaire includes the general information questionnaire, the Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale and the Quality of Discharge Teaching Scale. All survey data were entered by Excel and analyzed by SPSS 22.0 software.Statistical methods include descriptive statistical analysis(mean, standard deviation, frequency, percentage),single factor analysis, two independent samples t-test,multiple linear regression analysis.Among them, the basic data are expressed by frequency and percentage, and the scores of each scale are analyzed by(mean±standard);the discharge readiness scores of patients with different demographic characteristics are compared by t-test or ANOVA;the correlation between the two scales is discussed, and Pearson correlation analysis is used. The statistical test standard was α=0.05.Results1.A total of 260 questionnaires were issued, and 240 effective questionnaires were recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 92.31%.2.The total score of the readiness for hospital discharge was(91.36±18.46),the standardized scores of three dimensions were:personal status(7.48±1.87),adaptability(7.67±1.84),and expected support(7.70±2.04).The results of univariate analysis showed that the main influencing factors of the readiness for hospital discharge were education level, reason for seeking medical treatment, scope of resection, operative method, day after operation, degree of incision pain after operation, and monthly income of family per capita(P<0.05).3.The total score of the quality of discharge teaching of patients undergoing hysteromyoma was(136.94±26.50),of which the standardized score of content dimension obtained was(6.23±2.26),higher than that required before discharge(5.75±2.55),and the score of guidance skill and effect dimension was highest(8.30±1.52).The results of correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between the quality of discharge teaching and the readiness for hospital discharge(r-0.491,P<0.05).4.The multiple linear regression analysis of the readiness for hospital discharge undergoing hysteromyoma showed that there were four independent variables(scope of myomectomy, pain degree of incision, monthly income per capita, the quality of discharge teaching)entering the regression equation.Conclusion1.The readiness for hospital discharge was at a medium level of patients with uterine fibroid undergoing hysteromyomectomy, and the scores of person status, coping ability, excepted support all needs to be improved.2.The quality of discharge guidance, the scope of myomectomy, pain degree of incision and the average monthly income per family were the main influencing factors of readiness for hospital discharge.3.There was a positive correlation between the quality of discharge teaching and the readiness for hospital discharge, and the quality of discharge teaching is closely related to each dimension of the readiness for hospital discharge.4.The readiness for hospital discharge of patients with uterine fibroids undergoing hysteromyomectomy is comprehensively affected by multiple factors, which suggests that medical personnel should according to the controllable factors, especially the discharge teaching. To improve patients’ mastery of discharge guidance through diversified contents and methods of discharge guidance,so as to improve the awareness of patients’ discharge readiness.
