| ObjectiveThis study aims to provide a theoretical basis for further improving the quality of clinical nursing by analyzing the correlation between the self-perceived burden of patients with lung cancer and the level of self-care.Specifically,it includes :(1)the current status of self-perceived burden of lung cancer patients;(2)investigation of influencing factors of self-perceived burden in patients with lung cancer;(3)self-care status of lung cancer patients;(4)correlation analysis of self-perceived burden and self-care level in patients with lung cancer.MethodsThis study is a cross-sectional survey.Convenient sampling method was adopted to select lung cancer patients who met the exclusion criteria of this study in the tumor center of a third-class a hospital in wuhan from July to December 2018.The selfdesigned general information questionnaire,self-perceived burden scale and self-care level scale were carried out.SPSS 22.0 statistical software was used for data analysis. The correlation between self-perceived burden and self-care level of lung cancer patients was analyzed by independent sample T test,one-way anova, multiple stepwise linear regression and Spearman correlation.Results1 In this study,300 questionnaires were distributed,291 of which were valid, and the recovery rate was 97%.2.Self-perceived burden of patients with lung cancer(35.45±11.59)points,including body dimension(5.38±1.96)points,economic dimension(7.67±2.67)points,and emotional dimension(22.40±7.84)points.The self-perceived burden of lung cancer patients is at a high level.3 Patients with lung cancer age status, place of residence, occupation, cultural level, medical treatment charge payment, main caregivers, caregiver health, disease, pathological type, stage, duration(month),treatment method, combined chronic complications or not, whether the pain of patients self feel burden score was statistically difference(P<0.05),have an impact on self feeling the burden;Gender, marital status, monthly per capita income, age of the patients’ primary caregivers, and time taken care of by the patients showed no significant difference in the score of patients’ self-perceived burden(P>0.05),and had no effect on the self-perceived burden.4.The results of multivariate analysis showed that pain, health status, staging, education level and occupational status of caregivers were the main factors affecting the score of self-perceived burden of patients with lung cancer, which could explain the variation of 19.4% of the score of self-perceived burden.5.Self-care level of patients with lung cancer(108.43±19.83)score,the included dimensions of self-concept(22.79±5.24)score,self-care responsibility(20.52±4.91)score,self-care skills(29.76±4.85)score,health knowledge level(35.36±8.46)score.The self-care level of lung cancer patients was medium.6.Correlation analysis showed that the total score of self-perceived burden of patients with lung cancer and the scores of each dimension were negatively correlated with the self-perceived burden of patients with lung cancer(P<0.01),that is,the lower the score of self-perceived burden of patients with lung cancer was,the higher the self-perceived burden of patients with lung cancer was.Patients with higher selfperceived burden scored lower in self-care level.ConclusionsThe self-perceived burden of patients with lung cancer is at a high level, and pain, health status, staging, education level and occupational status are the main factors affecting the self-perceived burden of patients with lung cancer. The self-care level of lung cancer patients was medium, and the self-perceived burden of lung cancer patients was negatively correlated with the self-care level. |
