Objective To examine the CEACAM1 and CD 105 in gastric cancer and evaluate their actors in the occurrence and development of gastric cancer. Methods 120 gastric adenocarcinoma specimens and 20 normal gastric mucosa specimens were immunohistochemically stained for CEACAM1 and CD 105.The relationship among expression of different expression patterns of CEACAM1,CD105 and the clinicopathological characteristics were analyzed subsequently. Results CEACAM1 wasn't stained in normal mucosa. All gastric adenocarcinoma specimens expressed CEACAM1.As poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, deeper invasion, lymph node metastasis and higher TNM staging, membranous pattern CEACAM1 changed to cytoplasmic and mixed pattem(P<0.05).High value of CD105 was associated with the degree of tumor differentiation, invasion, lymph node metastasis and TNM staging(P<0.05).The expression of CD 105 in gastric adenocarcinoma with membranous, cytoplasmic and mixed pattern CEACAM1 were significant different((32.67±9.92),(44.72±9.13),(38.58±8.71)(P<0.05).Conclusion The positive expression of CEACAM1 in gastric cancer may promote tumor angiogenesis.CEACAM1 expression and CD 105 may participate in the invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer.
