Objective:Starting from sorting out the ancient books about Pediatrics in South Of The Five Ridges, this paper carries out the research of pediatric medicine in South Of The Five Ridges,so as to better realize the purpose of making the past serve the present and to inherite and innovate. To study the academic thought of Man Jing Tiao Bian that wroted by Huang Zhongxian and to summarize his clinical experience in the treatment of convulsions,so as to provide theoretical reference for clinical practice. Methods:According to the collation criteria of ancient books, collate the whole book content of Man Jing Tiao Bian;To summarize the academic thought of Man Jing Tiao Bian, and compare the content of this book with the relevant ancient pediatric books; To analyze the rules of traditional Chinese medicine in the work by using the Chinese Medicine Inheritance Assistant Platform(V2.5);So as to carry out the academic thought research of Man Jing Tiao Bian. Results:There are two works that wroted by Huang Zhongxian reserved until now. They are Man Jing Tiao Bian and Shu Yi Fei Yi Liu Jing Tiao Bian. The book Man Jing Tiao Bian was written in 1906.There are two main editions in existence. One is Ding Wei(1907)in 33 years of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty from LingShuGe which is in Guangzhou University of Chniese Medicine now.And the other is 33 years of Qing Guangxu in Qing Dynasty which is in Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The whole text of Man Jing Tiao Bian has been completed.Huang Zhongxian believes that the causes of infantile convulsions are exogenous cold, internal injury and wrong treat, etc. The pathogenesis is"dehydration and injury of body fluid, loss of tendons and muscles".Huang Zhongxian emphasizes the differentiation of symptoms and signs of infantile convulsions. It is necessary to distinguish between the success and failure of infantile convulsions,to distinguish between deficiency, excess, cold and heat, and to know the evolution of the disease according to children’s plain constitution.Huang Zhongxian diagnosed and treated infantile convulsions according to six meridians syndrome differentiation. He believed that the main location of disease were Taiyang,Yangming,Taiyin and Shaoyin.Specifically,it divides infantile convulsions into four syndromes. After searching the whole book, there is little direct discussion about convulsions or spasms in the book.Based on the assistant platform of traditional Chinese medicine inheritance, the regularity of traditional Chinese medicine in the book Man Jing Tiao Bian.It was found that the most frequent use of 31 prescriptions in the book was Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata(Zhi Gan Cao),followed by Codonopsis pilosula(Dang Shen),followed by Radix Panacis Quinquifolii(Xi Yang Shen).Sweet taste is the most common in five flavors, and the meridian ascending into the spleen meridian is the most common. It can be seen that Huang Zhongxian’s pediatric medication is pure and peaceful, but use traditional Chinese medicine which is cold indiscriminately. This is consistent with the theoretical content of the book.In addition, the five prescriptions in the treatment of fecal diarrhea were analyzed. The highest frequency of medication was Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata(Zhi Gan Cao),followed by Codonopsis pilosula(Dang Shen)and Radix Panacis Quinquifolii(Xi Yang Shen),use sweet flavor of five flavors mostly, and use a large proportion of drugs attributable to the meridian of the spleen. It conforms to the rules for the treatment of infantile convulsionsComparing Huang Zhongxian’s Differentiation of Man Jing Tiao Bian with Chen Fuzheng’s You You Ji Cheng,we found that the two doctors have their own opinions on the name of the syndrome of "infantile convulsions".They have similar opinions on the fingerprints of children, and both oppose the use of cold drugs in pediatric medicine. In addition,Huang Zhongxian disagreed with Zhuang Yikui’s word FuYou Bian, for the treatment of excessive temperature in pediatric diseases and syndromes. Conclusion:Huang Zhongxian,a doctor from South Of The Five Ridges in Qing Dynasty, wrote the book Man Jing Tiao Bian, which recorded his experience of pediatric clinical treatment.Huang Zhongxian attached great importance to the physiological characteristics of children. And he used medication which was pure and peaceful. He treated infantile convulsions with six meridians, and had his own opinions on it,which can be used as a reference for us.Although there is little direct discussion of infantile convulsions in the book, the five treatments of fecal diarrhea are mostly related to the evolution of the disease after long-term diarrhea, and the long-term diarrhea of severe syndrome can be turned into convulsions. With the support of the data analysis of the Chinese Medicine Inheritance Assistant Platform,it can be seen that most of the contents in the book are still related to convulsions. |
