ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of Lai’s Yin-qi and gui-yuan Acupuncture in treating Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands with Incoordination between Chong and Ren Meridians, and to explore a curative effect and feasible treatment method of Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands.MethodsBasing on the principle of randomization, control and single blindness,66 patients suffering from Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands with Incoordination between Chong and Ren Meridians were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,33 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with Lai’ s Yin-qi and gui-yuan Acupuncture, while the control group received conventional acupuncture. The course of treatment was 2 months.Combinating of B-mode ultrasonography and breast specialty examination, the score change of breast mass size, texture, range, spontaneous and triggering pain grading and concomitant symptoms were observed in the two groups before and after treatment to compare the difference of curative effect between two groups.Results1.There were 6 patients falling off for personal reason,so 30 patients in the treatment group and 30 patients in the control group finally completed the treatment study. The total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.33%.And the total effective rate of the control group was 76.67%.There were statistically significant differences(P<0.05)in the overall efficacy between the two groups, showing that the overall efficacy of the treatment group is better than the control group.2.There were statistical ly significant differences(P<0.05)in the score of breast pain grading, breast mass(including of size, texture, tenderness, range)and accompanying symptoms(including of premenstrual aggravation, chest and hypochondriac swelling, lumbar and knee weakness, dizziness and tinnitus, mental fatigue, menstrual cycle disorder, less menstrual volume)before and after the intervention in two groups, showing that the two groups significantly improves all about the illness symptoms except for irritability, chills and cold limbs. But before and after the intervention, the difference of symptoms score in the treatment group was greater than that of the control group, and in the breast pain, breast mass(including of texture, tenderness),accompanying symptoms(including of less menstrual volume, cycle disorder),and P were less than 0.05 with significant difference, indicating that the efficacy of the treatment group is better than the control group in these symptoms. And there was no difference between the two groups in breast mass(including of size, range),accompanying symptoms(including of aggravation before menstruation, swelling of chest and hypochondria, weakness of waist and knee, dizziness and tinnitus, fatigue, irritabil ity and cold limbs).3.There were statistically significant differences(P<0.05)in the population distribution of premenstrual aggravation except for chest and hypochondriac swelling, lumbar and knee weakness, dizziness and tinnitus, mental fatigue, menstrual cycle disorder, less menstrual volume, irritability, chills and cold limbs between two groups after the intervention, showing that the efficacy of the treatment group is better than the control group in premenstrual aggravation.Conclusion1.There is a certain clinical effect on Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands with Incoordination between Chong and Ren Meridians by acupuncture.2.Compared with conventional acupuncture,Lai’ s Yin-qi and gui-yuan Acupuncture is more effective in general effect, breast mass texture, breast mass tenderness, menstrual abnormalities, premenstrual aggravation and safe without any side effect.
