The Clinic Research On Using The Theory Of The Lunar Phase Treatment Hyperplasia Of Mammary Gland With Incoordination Between Chong And Ren Meridians

ObjectiveIt is based on Li Ben Shan’s Clinic Research on Relationship between Hyperplasia Of Mammary gland and The Lunar Phase. The author used the Er-xian Decoction treatment Hyperplasia of mammary gland with incoordination between chong and ren meridians in different lunar phase. Observing efficacy. Providing the further theory basis for treatment of HMG from the Chronomedicine.MethodChose47mammary gland hyperplasia patients with incoordination between chong and ren meridians, and randomize them equally into a treatment group (including24patients) and a control group (including23patients).The treatment group received the treatment of Er-xian Decoction in the lunar24to next lunar8(the moon at the last quarter to dark to the moon at the first quarter). The control group received the treatment of Er-xian Decoction in the lunar9to lunar23(the moon at the first quarter to full moon to the moon at the last quarter).The treatment durations were three months. After having treated for three months, the change in breast soreness, its size,rigidity, distributing range of the lump in the breast were observed. The scores of the breast soreness and lump were collected to assess the efficacy. Overall response rate was tested with CMH chi—square test, the scores of the symptoms and signs was tested with Wilcoxon rank sums test. To compare the difference of efficacy between the experimental and control groups. Result1. Clinical efficacy are compared between the two groups. The overall response rate in the experimental group is91.67%, and that of the control group is82.70%, which demonstrated no significant difference between the two groups (P=0.416)2. The soreness of the breast was alleviated significantly after treatment in both groups. Each group compared before and after treatment The difference is statistically significant (P<0.05). Comparing the two groups, the experimental group is superior to the control group. The difference is statistically significant(P<0.05)。3. The size, rigidity, distributing range of the breast lump were all alleviated after treatment in both groups. Each group compared before and after treatment, there is no significant difference (P>0.05). Comparing the two groups, there is no significant difference(P>0.05).ConclusionThere are all significant efficacy using the Er-xian Decoction treatment HMG with incoordination between chong and ren meridians in two different lunar phase. The overall response rate is equivalent between the two groups. The soreness of the breast was alleviated after treatment in both groups. Treatment in the moon at the last quarter to dark to the moon at the first quarter is superior to treatment in the moon at the first quarter to full moon to the moon at the last quarter. Two groups of treatment for breast lump all have certain soft firm and reducing effect. Treatment in two different lunar phase showed no significant difference.
