Research On The Correlation Between Sfgl2 And Stability Of Carotid Atherosclerotic Plaque

Objective To explore the relationship between the plasma levels of soluble fibrinogen-like protein 2(sfgl2)and the percentage of circulation CD4?CD25?Foxp3?Treg and carotid atherosclerotic(CAS)plaque in patients with acute ischemic cerebral infarction.Methods According to the results of carotid ultrasound examination,88 patients with acute ischemic cerebral infarction in our hospital were divided into three groups:non plaque group,stable plaque group and unstable plaque group.Another 30 healthy people were enrolled for control group.The percentage of circulation CD4?CD25?Foxp3?Treg were detected by flow cytometry and the levels of sfgl2 and IL-10 were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Analysis of variance was adopted to examined differences of sfgl2 and circulation CD4?CD25?Foxp3?Treg and IL-10 among groups;logistic regression analysis was used to understand the sfgl2 level and the stability of carotid atherosclerotic plaque.Results1)Compared to the control group,the levels of sfgl2 ? IL-10 and the percentage of circulation CD4?CD25?Foxp3?Treg were significantly lower in acute ischemic cerebral infarction group(P<0.05).2)Compared to the control group and the stable plaque group,the plasmalevels of sfgl2 ? IL-10 and the percentage of circulation CD4?CD25?Foxp3?Treg were significantly lower in unstable plaque group(P<0.05).3)the plasma levels of sfgl2 have a positive correlation between the percentage of circulation CD4?CD25?Foxp3?Treg and IL-10(r= 0.461 or0.384,P <0.01).4)Logistic regression analysis showed that sfgl2 are protective factors for the vulnerability of CAS plaques(OR-0.919,95% CI:0.854~0.990,P<0.05).Conclusions1)The levels of plasma sfgl2 and IL-10,circulation CD4?CD25?Foxp3?Treg might be closely correlated to the stability of CAS plaque.2)sfgl2 may play a protective role in atherosclerosis as another possible effector cytokine of Treg in immunity suppression,moreover,they have a protective effect on the vulnerability of CAS plaque.
