| Objective:In this paper,Yao He-sheng’s classification syllabus, which combines six meridians with eight outlines, focuses on pathogenesis, pathogeny, institude of disease and specific contents of zang-fu organs, meridians and collaterals,body-resourcefulness combined with Wei-qi-ying-blood and body-fluid spirit,is put forward.Based on the unified framework of syndrome differentiation and classification, the vertigo disease in Typhoid Fever Miscellaneous Diseases Theory is attempted to classify in this framework and classify its pathogeny, pathogenesis, treatment, prescription, prognosis or outcome to make the content comprehensive and complete,so as to effectively guide clinical practice.Method:By consulting some ancient and modern physicians’ comments on“vertigo”,we collected the relevant articles of “vertigo”,“Eye blindness”,“Dizzy of the head and dim of sight ”,“swim”,“Something is blind but invisible”,“stupor”,“Asthma and fainting”,“Yin and Yang are in chaos, and the spirit is affected by the unfluently Qi”,“Dizziness and palpitation”and “Yang Qi upward opposition”in”Treatise on Miscellaneous Diseases of Typhoid Fever” and screened them. All the selected data were sorted out to clarify the meanings of the above phrasesand their differences and connections with vertigo.Based on the unified framework of syndrome differentiation and classification, the articles related to vertigo syndrome in Treatise on Febrile Miscellaneous Diseases were comprehensively analyzed and sorted out,and the vertigo syndrome types, treatment, prescriptions and prognosis were classified.Results:(1)Define the connotation of “vertigo”,“dizziness” refers to eye rotation, and“risking” is generally a symptom of dizziness which occurs when evil Qi blows on the top.(2)The synonyms of vertigo are summarized as dizziness, something is blind but invisible, dizziness and something is blind but invisible,Yin and Yang are in chaos and the spirit is affected by the unfluently Qi depression, swim, headwind and Yang Qi upward opposition, among which dizziness and falsehood are the most common.(3)The difference and connection between “dizziness”,“falsehood” and “syncope” are: dizziness, fainting and syncope are all confused, but fainting is mainly coma, which is a mild syndrome of coma.It is temporary syncope caused by extreme dizziness.Syncope can cause unconsciousness and even more fainting. The three can occur simultaneously and separately.(4)The etiology and pathogenesis of vertigo can be divided into six categories: vertigo caused by liuyi, vertigo caused by emotion, vertigo caused by diet, vertigo caused by phlegm and drink, vertigo caused by endogenous five pathogens, vertigo caused by disorder of essence and blood, vertigo caused by disorder of yin and yang, and vertigo caused by ups and downs of pathogens.(5)The treatment methods of vertigo are: dispelling cold, dispelling wind and clearing heat, clearing damp and heat, reducing heat and fire, restraining liver and extinguishing wind, warming up yang, tonifyingdeficiency in warming, harmonizing Yin and yang, nourishing yin and clearing heat,etc.(6)Discussing Zhongjing’s theory of “phlegm drinks causing dizziness”,the author holds that his viewpoint of “phlegm drinks causing dizziness”is actually “drinking evil causes dizziness”.(7)The etiology, pathogenesis and specific treatment methods of vertigo in Treatise on Febrile Miscellaneous Diseases were systematically analyzed and sorted out,and the framework of syndrome differentiation and classification of vertigo in Treatise on Febrile Miscellaneous Diseases was summarized. Conclusion:Relevant treatises on vertigo in Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases have formed a relatively complete system of syndrome differentiation and classification of vertigo, which is mainly based on Taiyin meridian, and is mainly composed of internal syndrome, cold syndrome and deficiency syndrome. It can play an important guiding role in the differentiation and treatment of clinical vertigo in Traditional Chinese Medicine. |
